I just finished reading Hemingway's Islands in the Stream. One of the things
that struck me is the relative anonymity of the main character;s (Thomas
Hudson) wives and lovers. He repeatedly addresses the mother of his
firstborn as "You". I was wondering if Hemingway ever gave her a name.
