LEAD SOFTWARE QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER

Description The Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer will lead a
team of quality engineers to deliver high-quality measurable complex
software tools and networking components to support application
development on our next-generation, high-performance family of Network
Flow Processors. Initially, the successful candidate's role will be to
operate as a disciplined, self-motivated individual contributor
responsible for defining and deploying a well-instrumented software
quality development process with an increasingly automated test
environment. The Lead Software QA Engineer will then build and lead a
team of professionals to: • Establish and monitor well-instrumented
software quality metrics • Deploy and maintain a Continuous Build
system • Perform software verification as part of an overall
inspection-based development process, while continuing to improve the
software development methodology • Verify and maintain accurate design
and user documentation • Produce predictable, measurable high-quality
releases which fully satisfy features/functionality requirements and
schedule commitments • Lead the weekly “Bug Board” and approve the
final Release Checklist, prior to each software release • Be fully
conversant and expert on all aspects of the technical and legal
aspects of releasing software to the Open Source community

QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate will have the following
minimum qualifications and background: • Proven track record of
verifying and releasing high-quality software. Specific knowledge of
networking-related software would be considered an additional
positive. • Proven experience in writing complete and comprehensive
test plans that can be automated • Demonstrated leadership and
championing of software process-improvement initiatives • Experience
with SEI CMM initiatives, especially within a start-up context, would
be viewed favorably • Excellent communications skills with the ability
to influence change to long-established development methodology
policies and procedures • A strong personal interest in Software
Quality processes. Authorship of technical journal articles, hosted
lectures and leading corporate initiatives would all be viewed
positively

REQUIREMENTS The successful candidate will have a Computer Science
degree with 10+ years of relevant experience. A recent MSc/MSEE or PhD
with a relevant dissertation or thesis would also be considered.
