Major Financial Firm seeks a Disaster Recovery Analyst for its Tokyo
Branch
Office

The overall disaster recovery plan is coordinated from New York and a
program manager has been appointed to address the specific needs of
the
company. The successful applicant will work closely with the Tokyo
program
manager

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
*Support business unit coordinators in the preparation of their
recovery
plans. This will involve
-ensuring that plans are developed in accord with the company
policies
-providing general advice on planning assumptions and feasibility

*Monitor and report on plan development and achievement of milestones

*Assist in the overall Tokyo disaster recovery project management
including
information collection and presentation

*Train new business unit coordinators in the use of the planning
system as
well as provide advice and support on an ongoing basis

*Work with the System Administratin to ensure that the systme in
maintained
interms of user accounts and incorporation of base data from other
sources.

*Ensure ongoing maintenance and review of plans, and assure that any
neccessary corrective actions are implemented

*Assist with the preparation of recovery test scripts and test
coordination

Additional Responsibilities

In addition to these specific responsibilities the successful
candidate will
be expected to support the Tokyo program manager in accomplishing a
number
of primary goals+-
-Oreoarubg abd cibdyctubg a crusus resoibse excercise during Q2/3
-Establishment of an Off-site Data Center during 2000 to provide
alternate processing capability

Subsequently the focus will move to the provision of alternate
business
accommodatio and facilities.

The work involved in these areas will provide opportunity to acquire
new
skills in a broad range of disciplines.

Important:
The Qualified candidate should be bilingual in Japanese and English.
