Senior QA Engineer
The QA Engineer is part of the engineering team that develops and
maintains solutions for networked news products for Broadcasters.
These solutions are deployed and in use at sites worldwide for 24x7
operations. A system of this complexity demands quality processes,
controls, and testing capability be designed and applied throughout
the product development lifecycle. This individual will play a key
role in the testing and qualification of these products.
We are looking for a highly qualified SOFTWARE quality assurance
engineer who possesses SOFTWARE and quality assurance engineering
aptitudes and skills to work closely with developers during the
requirements, design, construction, and test phase of development.
This individual will work on creating test plans, test cases, and
where applicable develop automated tests to qualify SOFTWARE features
and system behavior.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Develop test plans for system and sub-system tests • Perform system
and sub-system tests • Perform defect triage and reporting. •
Communicate defects and methods of reproducing to Engineering • Verify
fixes submitted for the defects • Work with Customer support to
reproduce bugs reported from the field
Competencies & qualifications required
* 5+ years of Q/A experience, including developing test plans * 3+
years of experience working in a Windows environment * Knowledge of
video servers or technologies is an asset * Good written and verbal
communication skills
Essential Requirements:
This individual should be familiar with a structured SOFTWARE product
development process. They should have a proven track record of testing
complex applications and bringing quality products to market. They
should have a broad base of technological knowledge that includes some
knowledge of video applications. They should be highly motivated and
willing to tackle challenging projects.
