Below is a complete list of pager networks across the United States.
These groups are locally based and cover their states, cities or
coverage areas very well. If fact they are simply the best at what they
all do since they are locally based. Most of these groups have been in
the business for many years and have "Proven" track records. While they
do charge for the information and require use of their system pager, you
will receive timely and accurate information.

In most cases you will find that they have the best pager pricing you
can find. When it's free you get exactly what you pay for! (need I say
more). Most of these groups have been formed from the local fire buff,
scanner & police or radio type clubs.

If you simply want the best in emergency services paging, contact your
local paging service listed below, while a small cost is involved you
will receive the best service available anywhere. All have affiliations
with each group around the US and provide Nationwide Information.

Baltimore Metro Dispatch

P.O. Box 662

Severn, MD 21144

Web-site: http://www.fire buff.net

Hotline: 410-932-4876

BMD Supervisor: George Ehrman (E*23)

"Baltimore's premier & most reliable pager notification system"

We operate on the PageNet of MD system, using Advisor Gold pagers.

Our service is provided free of charge to anyone who requests it
(provided

they have a PageNet pager w/ alpha service). BMD is operated 24 hours a
day

by public safety personnel from around the state who page incidents
either from

their PCs or WordTreks / Alphamates. BMD dispatchers receive no
compensation

for this service.

CFN, Columbia Fire Net, is a product of the Columbia, Missouri Fire
Department.

It was established to provide information via pagers to Chief Officers,
Rescue

and HazMat Team members and eventually to any interested CFD member. The

pagers are provided at no cost to CFD members. With 4 pin options
available,

members could select any 2 additional types of pages. Obviously their
individual

pin, then a CFD all call pin and their choice of 2 more. About 2 dozen
elected to

receive CFN as one of their options. As of this writing there are 4 who
are

authorized to send out national pages. National paging will remain a
very

closely held authority. Since we are new, we have a rather steep
learning

curve. As Fire Chief, Wm. Markgraf is the nominal head of the system.
The

other 3 "national dispatchers" are employees of the CFD.

The telephone number for the Columbia Fire Department is 573 874 7391.

Home number for Chief Markgraf is 576 446 1641;

E-Mail: mark...@tranquility.net

The CFD Web Page is: www.ci.columbia.mo.us which is the citywide page,
then

select the fire department. Other dispatchers include Battalion Chief
Ron

McCord, Lieutenant Steve Sapp, and Engineer Dan McGavick. We sign by

CFN/(and then our LAN identifications which is usually our initials.)
For "snail

mail" communications we may be reached at:

Columbia Fire Department,

201 Orr Street,

Columbia, Missouri 65201.

Garry:

A few thoughts:

1.) You might post this information on a website with searching
capabilities. 865 lines (8000+ words) is a bit much to read, especially
since it's so geographically diverse.
2.) Double-spaced text is VERY frustrating to read. Disorganized text is
even worse.
3.) Is this a spam? Are you trying to promote a service, or are you
"helping" people who might need these services? There was a cross-post a
few months ago from an ems/emt/ert newsgroup asking about paging services.
THAT group may be much more appropriate, or perhaps (gasp) cross posting so
they'll see the information. If it's a spam to sell paging service - then
it has no business here, especially if you directly or indirectly profit
from sales.
4.) You might also update the information, Airtouch is now Verizon -
MobileComm is now Arch - and there were a few more.

Other than that, I'm sure this information will assist someone.

You're almost correct, I posted a message that included "ONLY"
neighborhood paging networks that "SPECIALIZE" in "INCIDENT" paging in
their areas. That would have left out the group you mentioned.. Sorry

Do you have a current list for 2014 for FL specifically Osceola and Orange Counties? I am having a very hard time finding them in searches on Google. I found one, but it is on the wrong side of Orange. I am right on the boarder of the two counties. Thanks!
