I am new to this, but I just downloaded some software to reprogram Motorola
Bravo Plus pagers. I ran the program, and it said that I needed a
programming interface. Can I build this or do I have to buy it?

Thanks
Chris

I'm not sure if there are any other sites besides this one, but if there
is, I'd like to know. Http://l0pht.com/radiophone/pager/pager.html has
schematics for building the Univesal Programing Adapter(UPA) to use with
most Motorola pagers; however, the schematics aren't all that detailed. I
emailed the author, and I'm hoping he'll have some more-detailed
schematics that he'll send me. If he sends, I'll forward them to you,and
anyone else who wants them; otherwise, you'll probably have to order a UPA
adapter from motorola. Motorola sells the programing adapter for
individual pagers too. I called my local authorized Motorola dealer
today, and he said it would cost about 150 bucks to order one. If someone
out there has a UPA, a lot of people would appreciate it if they'd
disassemble it and make some good, detailed schematics.

Ok, I was looking at pagers today at a new pager-cellular shop that just
opened here in Colorado Springs. I was talking to the owner, he was
pretty cool. He said that if I ever wanted to get a cap code changed, I
could bring it in and he'd program it for free. So the moral to this story
is: If you can find a cool pager shop, and get to know the guy, you can
save your money and have him program the pager for ya.

I usually only charge $3.00 for a re-cap.
