(Motorola T900 pager, that is)

I know questions on this subject have been asked, but most of the
posts are fairly old. The latest post that I could find provided some
detail, but unfortunately is unclear to a neophyte such as myself.

I just want to disable the function where if you accidentally press
the "Clear/Del" key after pressing the "Lock" key, you lose the whole
message that you just spent 3 minutes laboriously typing in. (They
call this the "Cancel" function in the manual.)

What a lame feature. Bites me occasionally - usually when I'm tired,
in a hurry, and after I've typed a long, detailed message. Colleagues
too. (Sigh)

Asked friend who works at Metrocall (who sells T900's) if they can
re-program or disable this and was told "no".

Anyone know how I can disable or re-program this key sequence? Any
T900 programming software out there? (And how do you physically
connect to the pager?)

Latest post I could find re this subject mentions the WisdomOS and/or
TrueSync software, but I think this may apply to a different pager...
(???)

In advance, thanks for whatever you can tell me!

They are correct. Only Motorola can make changes to the firmware.

You are out of luck. The T900 fits into a programming module that Motorola
sells, but only allows you to change a few things like newsbriefs and
power-up message.

Those buzz words belong to the Motorola Timeport P935.
