Skills
· Technical Requirements
o Overall 8+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration
o Preferred Educational background: Degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent
o Extensive Experience in SAP Basis Administration
o Skills in upgrades/migrations
o Skills in Unicode Migrations
o Preferred SAP Basis Certification
o Skill in administration of ABAP Stacks, Java Stacks, PI specific administration, BW Specific Basis Administration, Solution Manager knowledge
· Non-Technical Requirements
o Team Lead with skill to monitor, guide and review team members
o Good Communication Skill
Required Experience (Same as Relevant Experience)
· Overall 8+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration
Job Responsibilities
· SAP Release upgrade planning
· Identify technical prerequisites from SAP, Infrastructure side
· Perform Technical upgrade
· Deploy downtime reductions techniques to reduce technical downtime of upgrade
· Resolve upgrade related technical issues
· Perform post upgrade activities
· Perform system copies for both source and target releases
· Perform post processing during upgrades
· Propose and execute strategy for transports in parallel landscape scenarios of upgrade
· Support upgrade team members for troubleshooting issues
· Perform Unicode conversion if required during upgrades
· Define tasks to be done by Infrastucture, DBA and other support teams and perform overall coordination of activates within these groups
· Followup of activities assigned to other groups and make sure that overall upgrade deliverables are executed on time
· Perform reporting to upgrade project manager
· Identify and highlight risks and propose mitigation plans.
