Disabling ligatures using tmux config options?

Hello,

I am not certain if this is even the proper approach, but I am wondering
if it is possible to disable the rendering of ligatures by means of tmux
settings, e.g. terminal-options? Is that even something tmux can control?

I don't want to switch to a non-ligature font, only to disable ligatures.

tmux has no control over this, it is something you will need to configure your terminal to do.
