Hello,
I have a situation where myu tmux client is acting on a forwarded socket from a remote system running an older version of tmux. The client is complaining that the server protocol version is too old, which does not surprise me. So, is there any option to force the client to downgrade to an older protocol version?
For concreteness, the client is version 3.2a and the server is version 2.7. I know I can address this issue by using the same version of tmux on both systems, but I'd rather not have to downgrade the client and upgrading the version on the server is a bit problematic.
Thanks,

PS: I assume that the answer is just to switch to compatible versions, but just thought I'd check
