That sounds great to me. 6:30 should be fine. If you could get me
directions to teh school from the Suitland area, that would be terrific.

In preparation for the meeting, you should take a peek at my website,
which is hosted at PG Community College. It gives a good overview of
who we are and what we do. The site is located at:

http://academic.pgcc.edu/~wlloyd/rta/

FYI: our mission is to provide usable computer technology to schools and
other non-profit agencies essentially at no cost. We do accept "love
offerings", but it is neither required nor expected. Right now, we do
have a need for funds, to finish defraying the costs associated with our
trip to Tanzania in January of this year. We also are making initial
plans to return to Tanzania in May 2008 to setup a number of new schools
with computers and Internet connectivity. I will need to raise several
thousand dollars to cover travel and shipping expenses associated with
this trip overseas. We want to partner with other organizations that
see the value of what we are doing here in the States, and in other
places around the world.

Normally we don't ask for funds, because we don't need them ! We get
computers donated from businesses and government agencies, so there is
no cost in obtaining equipment. My students do the work of refurbishing
PCs, so I don't pay salaries. The college helps me with storage space,
so I don't have to pay for storage. I don't even take a stipend for my
own needs, although I do use the non-profit's funding to pay for
overseas ventures. It's a really effective model, and it has worked
well for nearly 8 years. We have been able to give away over
$3,750,000.00 of equipment since 1999 at no cost to the recipients.

Feel free to pass this information on to the rest of your group. They
can feel free to write or call me with any questions.

See you soon.

Good Morning Mr. Lloyd,
Let's get together next Tuesday, October 9 at 6:30pm at the
Mitchellville School. Will that give you enough time to travel from
Suitland to Bowie or will you need more time? I travel the same route.
I work at Suitland High School.

Mr. William A. Lloyd, President

Research Technology Associates, Incorporated

Dear Mr. Lloyd:

Thank you for your willingness to assist The Mitchellville
School (TMS) in updating its computer laboratory and technology
holdings. We know that Mr. Roman has spoken passionately to you about
TMS, not the least of which includes our vision and commitment to
readying our students to compete worldwide in the 21st century. In
order to accomplish this, we need to dramatically update our equipment.

We have an immediate need in the following areas: (1) to
hardwire each classroom for connectivity to the internet; (2) to upgrade
existing software on computers used by faculty, staff, and students; (3)
to acquire updated computer hardware and peripherals; (4) to organize
and inventory all computer hardware and software at TMS; and (5) to
unify and align computer software with our technology curriculum. A
more specific list of immediate needs is attached for your information.

We are anxious to upgrade our educational program and to
provide our students with all available educational resources. To that
end, the TMS Technology Committee is available to meet with you on
October 2nd, 9th, or 16, 2007. Please advise us of your availability
on the above dates, or on other dates that may accommodate your
schedule.

Further, we understand that your organization consistently
contributes computer hardware and software to communities throughout
east Africa, in particular, Tanzania. Providing internet access opens
every community to ideas worldwide and connects people on every level.
Please consider sharing your contacts with TMS, so that we may have our
students share and connect with students throughout the communities that
you serve.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, and we look
forward to working with you.

Yours in Service,

Lisa Williamson Bruce

Ms. Williamson,
I may or may not be able to attend the meeting tonight. My baby got his
shots yesterday and depending on how he is, will depend on my return
tonight. I wanted to just email you my concerns. We need all the rooms wired
for internet and to be able to print with the computers. Software installed
on the computers to enhance the curriculum we are spending money on this
year. I think most of all, two teachers are unable to get the internet and
school email as the room they are in does not have connectivity. This is a
vital communication tool that isn't being utilized and do not have access to
homeworknow.com.
I am not totally clear as to what the meeting will cover tonight. I can be
online to chat via email if that would work, that way I could represent the
school and possibly answer any questions.
Let me know what you need from me.

Mrs. Grieser

Hello Ms. Grieser,
I certainly understand if you are unable to attend the meeting. If you
cannot attend, it would be great if you could be available through email
in case any specific questions come up. Could we please use your room
for tonight's meeting? Also, what software is the school looking to
purchase? Software drives hardware purchases so if we need to readjust
our hardware purchases we need to know as soon as possible. Also, have
you had an opportunity to visit the technology committee's Google Group
page? Take a look at some of the pages and tell me what your think.
It's a collaborative site that allows all of us to contribute content to
the site.

Hello All

I am having my car detailed now bcz someone spilled an awful smelling liquid in the car and its making me sick. I hope the car will be finished before meeting time.  If not, I will be available online. Do we have online conferencing available? That would be a great tool to install as well, so those who cannot attend can listen into and participate in the meetings.  Tracie.

Ms. Williamson,
I do apologize for not being able to attend last night. I am feeling under
the weather, possibly related to the weather changing and sinuses.
