No, Hotmail has been recently bought by MS...

M$Soft bought Hotmail a few months ago.

This is why I am abandon hotmail and join yahoo mail now. It is much faster
in yahoo mail.

Any chance you tell us where to find POP enabled free email accounts?

I need to find a place that let me download my emails directly from the
accounts, using POP protocol, to and my mail reader.

I am really tired of going through the cumbersome web interfaces.

BTW, how did you get on the citeweb.net? I tried www.citeweb.net and it won't
respond.

Because...when they takeover something they tend to make it work ONLY with
their products but luckily so far haven't seen this happen to Hotmail. But
happenend to Internet Gaming Zone.

so, use their products lor... for example IE4... it's free (like IE4),
fast (if u have plenty of RAM), stable (if u have read the readme.txt
file, defrag + scan disk and disable virus scanner b4 installation)
and lastly... it's kicks netscape's ass big time!

Yeah rite. Only one thing that bugs me is Active Windows....thats what
been crashing my windows so many times and not to mention gobbles my

nobody ask u to use it... i agree with u Active Desktop sucks bug time
but hey, i'm not using it too... especially on my 133 PC... for my
next PC, a P2-266, i'll definately use it...

one more thing... should considered check IE4 newsgroups... they have
tips and tricks...

and i recently found out that IE4 doesn't seem to like newer display
adapters... especially those based on RIVA 128 and Matrox chipsets...
unless u update both BIOS and drivers...

older adapters such as S3 ViRGE and some el-cheapo ones work fine...
one one condition... make sure both audio + display adapter drivers
are DirectX 5.0 compliant (must have both 'Certified' displayed in the
DirectX 5.0 control applet)

RAM... how much u have? 32mb? 64? 128mb? as with new program, more RAM
the better... i've 64mb for both PC... one for internet access and one
for games...
