Get Mcafee ....

I would recommend you get Mcafee for full Internet to File protection....
pdated almost everyday by visiting www.avert.com or every month by visiting
www.mcafee.com and get the newest DAT file.

Truely for full protection.....

Webscanx - prevent nasty ActiveX and Javascript
VShield - watches for virus and macros

Well... I'm very cautious of what I install on my PC... n also I don't share
my PC with anyone else... even on a LAN, I always set high security
settings... that means no one can delete or copy files without my
authorisation...

People get infected by computer virus because they r not careful... :)

Example, even if your best friend say u should simply download warez n
install it immediately... don't listen to him/her completely... run am anti
virus program just in case... also, u received e-mails from unsuspecting
person or persons... delete it immediately... don't be curious as to
download it n look inside the content...

I find Armour very resource hungry... they used in Informatics PJ... damn
slow to load... even PC-cillin (installed on other PCs) is faster...

Plus, Armour annoys me more than other anti virus programs...

Why? If say if u r doing programming, u have to load some .dll or .vxd into
memory, Armour will kick u back to DOS with a warning stating something is
trying to modify some files...

i've pccillin and tey say that it hogs system memory....is that true?
what about McAfee then?
I don't have alot of RAM to go around....which is a good antivirus and
takes minimal resource

yep... i use AVp but i never set it to startup..
i made a practice to scan files that i've download .. and do a weekly
scanning+ defragging every week.. (usually every sunday morning)

Yeah... it hogs RAM... just look at the interface...

McAfee v4.0x also hogs some RAM but not much... only v3.x hogs less...

Go for Norton as it can be updated live via the internet on the new listing
and curing method of virus. You can even use it with the RM10 Norton
Utilities CD's ;-)
