8/1/07 Meeting Minutes

Present on the 4p conference call:

Polly Campbell, President

Paula Fanjoy, Sec,

New Business

Election of Officers

Many bylaw and other structural changes are taking place at IAFN that will be affecting the structure of chapters. The TMC is in pretty good shape…but due to these changes election of officers for 2008 did not occur this year. Elections will be held in 2008 for service in 2009. Treasurer and President elect are the 2 offices that will be open for nominations. We are asking everyone, who is a member in good standing, and would like to run for office, to email or contact Paula Fanjoy. Please make sure you put “TMC election for office” in the subject line. Nomination and Willingness to serve forms will be sent in the fall to those interested in running for office. Please consider getting involved in the chapter. It’s great fun, you meet really cool people, and it’s really not a ton of work!

Treasurer’s Report

There is $4100 in the bank.

2008 TMC Conference

The second, annual, 2008 TMC conference planning is underway. If you have any thoughts or ideas for presenters or workshops, please let Polly Campbell know ASAP.

IAFN Scientific Assembly

IAFN Scientific Assembly will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah in October. Please see our new website for further info and links.

Say, did you realize that our own Polly Campbell and Jen Weeks are both presenting this year?

Silent Auction: NEEDED: NH, ME, VT items to be put in our LLBean tote bag for the Silent Auction. Donations can include handmade items, cool things particular to your state (like Maine Mountain Mustard; Maine blueberries; VT maple syrup, etc.) Please contact Polly Campbell and Jen Weeks on how to get these items to them.
