When XBOX Controller is going to be supported by Air Link not only directly linked to PC, but through headset (like VD)?
I had a hope that Air Link made Virtual Desktop obsolete (No offense VD Developers, amazing job!) for games, but I've got big WTF seeing Touch Controllers lying on the floor in the launcher, while my xbox controller were useless. I understand, that Air Link is in Experimental phase, but for me it seems more like useless POH. I guess that a lot of Oculus Quest user bought it, because they didn't want to be chained to their PC, sitting at cosy coach downstairs, and they looked forward for Air-Link. Streaming controller input (You are already doing it!) and handling it in Oculus App (You are already doing it!) can't be so hard to implement!
Have you controller paired with Headset or PC? My gamepad works fine paired to headset while playing through Virtual Desktop, My problem is that it doesn't work via Air-Link while paired with googles. Space where I'm playing is too far from PC to pair gamepad with it.
I have tested this with two Quest 2 headsets (with two sets of controllers), on Link cable (with two separate cables) and with Air Link. Mine aren't working in the Oculus Home environment. Perhaps it has something to do with a recent update but then I would expect more people to be reporting this issue but others, including Nera123, Sotalo and Arkiefox, have also reported this problem recently in this forum.
This issue is only when using oculus vr, if you run oculus vr and boot up steam vr you will see that in the steam vr portion of things your controllers work well, at least that's how it is for me after the update
I've heard a lot of reports about this. Can you confirm a few things for me?
- Is the Oculus software up to date with the latest version?
- Is controller firmware up to date with the latest version?
- Have you tried general controller troubleshooting? (Pair/Repair, change batteries, etc)
- What version is your headset running?
I'll notify the team and look into this to see if the problem is on the radar, or if this is a new and emerging issue.
