That is the Help section found on the start-up screen of Revit under Resources...From there you can access the Help section and the tutorials...But I have to say those are not meant to be downloaded on your computor and there is no download option to start with. You can of course go around that but that wouldn't be legal.
There are several resources and good tutorials online as Constantin mentioned. I would add to those THIS WEBSITE which is basically the complete course given at the University of North Carolina by an awesome Professor/Lecturer J Roh. Its one of the best Turtorials I've ever seen online which covers almost all from basic to advanced to complex Advanced. It also extends to cover parts of Dynamo and Grasshoper.

I'm not sure why this is happening, but every time i download the tutorial files they are missing the first file GSG_01_Getting_Started_Template.rte also every other file I open is completely different from the photos and descriptions are given about the file. I'm running th student version of Revit 2020 and am downloading the GSG_RevitLT.zip for the tute files.
These are tutorial files with in the application, I will move this post to the Revit forum for you.
This is a product related issue and a product specialist could better assist you.

There was an error in posting the ZIP files for the tutorials. It is being fixed as I type this. I hope the corrected ZIP file to be up and workign form the download tomorrow 9/17/19. Or if you send me a PM I can give you a link where you can download the correct files.
I dowloaded this folder and once I attempted to open it, an error appeared saying the model needed to be updated to a newer version because it was saved as 2009 or older. I pressed update model and then an error came up saying the model was unable to be updated.
Which version of Help? There was a recent Chrome update that we think (we are looking into it) broke the download links in some versions of Help. You can try right clicking on the link and select "Copy Link Address" and then try pasting that directly into a browser address line and the file should download.
JP..... I'm relatively new to revit also, about 1 year steady. My advice may not be the best solution, but this is what I would try if I were in your shoes...I would look at your insulation based on it's application. Where it's wrapped around a column, you'll have to place it there in a different manner than where it is attached to a wall.
3. You could also modify the existing wall by adding the layer of insulation to it. That would probably be the best way to cover 90% of your needs. This way, it would behave as a part of the wall when you place a window.
I am getting an error message when working with Toposolid per the instructions in the video. I am following the instructions exactly, yet when I try to add an elevation of -500 to the right boundary I am getting an error message. I am clearly doing something wrong or am just lacking the depth of knowledge to trouble shoot. The error message is: "Slab Shape Edit failed. The Floor or Roof or Toposolid is too thin for its given type." I am very new to Revit, but am well versed in CAD. Any help is appreciated.
The Title of the tutorial video is the title of my post. It is a tutorial from the autodesk website in the tutorials sections. Trying to avoid intense trouble shooting as best I can at this point.
Yes, I did think that might be the issue, but the type I have selected is the only one available. So I am not sure what to do to fix that. Either the issue is with the file provided by autodesk or I am not selecting the type correctly. I have watched the video many times & the options available in the video do not appear to be available in the file provided:\
Well, it is good to be more specific. By just reading the title of the post we cannot infer that it is a video by Autodesk in a certain Autodesk web page. It's easier if you provide the link in the first post, is it not?
@liz.nahm1 . Start a new project with Revit 2024, using the default template. Do this: File > New > Project > Imperial Multi-Discipline > OK. Then, go to Massing & Site > Toposolid > (from the type selector shown below, select the type indicated here", then follow the video tutorial again.
That's a good idea. I will try that. Also there is no depth/thickness value aka zero inputted in the toposolid type available. Maybe I can try adding . I think if the correct toposolid building material was inputted it would not be an issue, but as I mentioned in previous comments I have no idea what I am doing yet, LOL.
The default file you have mentioned is not available. The only options under 'template file' are '.' I think I may have a larger issue at hand. I purchased a computer specifically for Revit due to no Mac versions being available. It appears that maybe Revit was saved to my Microsoft Onedrive rather than on the laptop. Onedrive is not adequate storage for Revit, but the laptop is. I am trying to solve this, I wonder if that may be causing issues.
I have scheduled a call with support regarding this issue. They sent me a email for 'trouble shooting' with suggestions that did not answer my questions. Does anyone know how to escalate a support case? They are now not responding & have apparently cancelled our call as no one has called me at the scheduled time.
Try the attached file. It should have the correct toposolid type you need to add the site.
I am a bit confused though as to why the file you are working with does not have the correct type. I pulled this file from the source used to create the downloadable tutorial files. All of that said, the tutorials are designed that you can just move on to the next one and use the next data set in sequence if something did not quite work.
Yes, as stated the files I got from the Autodesk tutorials were wrong. The 2023 files did not work for the tutorial videos. I was not aware there were 2024 files or links somehow. Yes the 2024 link I provided is the accurate files. Again not sure how I ended up with the 2023 versions. The tutorials are really hard to find in general.
