There are many reasons that contribute to my decision to leave, but I don't think it's necessary to go into detail at this point.

I'm going to focus my efforts on the .Artist TLD and getting ICANN to include it in their root.

Sero Registry was a fun learning project and I'm glad I stumbled upon the alternate DNS root communities a couple of years back.

Despite the TLDA's shortcomings, I have still learned invaluable information from being a member of the community.
