Question about simple programming

Hi,

 

I have a question about the programming of the tlc5940 with the arduino.

We have building a funfair model attraction named XLR8, this ride have 8 arms and in ich arm is a TLC5940 and 5 RGB leds.

 

Everythings works fine, also when we load a example sketch from the standard TLC5940 arduino library its realy great to see what kind of LEDS there is, amazing.

 

But now, i want to step for step program it by myself, also to understand how its works.

Can someone me explane or give me a example code to, let we say, burn al the leds with blue color for 5 seconds, and mabe fade all the leds up and down with the red color.

 

But maybe we can make it little difficult, each tlc must begin with the first led with red, than second red, than turn led1 off, turn 3 led red, turn led 2 off, turn led4 in red, ect ect so the leds are running from middle to the end.
