We are planning to meet on 9th June Thursday at TVM to finalize things.

Hope you all could meet on June 9, 2016 as planned.

Could you come up with the date and venue for our 40th year reunion? I talked to Rama Varma last week and heard that the date may change.

 

We are all waiting to hear the status update. It's only 3 months left for overseas friends to purchase tickets at a cheaper rate.

An early status update is really appreciating.

Hi Rama Varma,

Do you know the owner of this email account "tkmc...@googlegroups.com"? He has to correct all email IDs in this group. This will eliminate sending emails to wrong IDs.

We have to use this ID only for our future correspondence.

So my suggestion is...

1. There should be only 1 email ID for all of us (tkmc...@googlegroups.com),       means no other individual name.

2. Initiate a new email with this ID only and hence we don't have an option to reply     all while others responding to the original email.

3. Create a google groups calendar with this ID for all of us to sign up for the big         event.

Just few cents from my side to make things easy.

Dear all,

As an active participant of the 9th gathering at TVM on 9th , let me first apologize for not communicating so far. I thought of giving a total picture after booking the venue. Having come up for discussion, I will brief about the discussions and further actions.

Around 13 of us met at a hotel near Thampanoor, TVM. What need to be decided first is the date and venue. Members generally wanted a good venue  other than a routine hotel. It was converged to a good resort at Poovar, near Kovalam. Another point was whether it should be one day on two days program. One day program means we check in by an afternoon and leave next day after lunch. Majority felt this is too short and we should minimum spent a full day together. Hence two days program was selected.

The plan worked is to assemble on Oct 7th afternoon( Friday) and leave by 9th(Sunday) afternoon. So the dates will be Oct 7, 8 & 9, 2016.

Subsequently 3 good resorts at Poovar and one  hotel near Kovalam were contacted.Cost more or less same at all places.It will be around Rs6500/- for food ( B/F, Lunch & dinner) and accomadation. per family for one day. Special evening snacks extra.Tomorrow we are going to Poovar to firm up the deal.

We do not have a true picture of the actual no. of participants. I thought of projecting around 40 to 50 double rooms. Members will have to confirm their program in a week or so once venue is booked. In a day or two I will inform the booking confirmation and resort address.

A joint savings bank account in the names of Fr.Thomas, Anilkumar and me already opened to enable members to transfer advance money ( and donations too by those who can afford). I will send a detailed mail in a day or two, after booking the resort.

So dear all, we are still on the right track,Good that a push is given thro' the mail. Mrs Rose has given a few suggestions. Good. I am not sure who created the group mail account "tkmc...@googlegroups.com". I will also check up.
