Tuomas Nurminen from the Degree programme of Service Design and
Engineering (SDE) will present his master's thesis
"Designing for User Experience – Case: Active Life Home -portal"
at SoberIT (Tekniikantie 14, Innopoli 2, 4th floor) today on Wednesday
13-April-2011. The presentation takes place at 16:30 o'clock in
meeting room Jotuni. The work is supervised by prof. Matti Hämäläinen.
The study is conducted based on the case of Active Life Home (ALH). It
is a concept designed to support elongated independent living of
elderly people in their home environments. Part of the ALH concept is
a web portal. The ALH-portal helps customers to form and order
combinations of equipment and services according to the unique needs
of the elderly through a single touch point. The objective in the
thesis has been to design the portal from the user experience (UX)
point of view. Conceptually, the work is grounded on the framework
about user experience by Garrett (2002).
Welcome!
