Questions and inspiration for TKFF organisers

[The Knot Fibre Festival]

Hi fabulous people,

A couple of things that came up at the meeting yesterday:

• There will be an excursion this Friday (April 11th) at 5pm to look at sites in D'arcy Doyle Place and the Mall for our yarn bombing (fibre installation). Meet at the Sunset Markets. A bit of yarn-bombing pinterest inspiration can be found here: http://www.pinterest.com/hilariafina/yarn-bombing/
• Suggestions are needed for ways of using the white T-shirts that have been donated, They are to be used for two things:

1. a gift for volunteers  to be made from the T-shirts (with/without a printed logo). Suggestions at the meeting included making it into a bib/overshirt shape and decorating with dye/embellishments in a pre-festival group thing. What would be a good idea here?
2. some free activity for kids at the festival, based on use of the T-shirts. Any inspiration here? e.g. make into bags or T-shirt necklaces??

I (Beth) am going to post some ideas I've come up with since the meeting - about the yarn bombing - in a separate email since it is from me and not from the group.
