I suggest you show it to someone who knows nothing about the festival and see what they make of it.  Do they know what it is advertising?

Thanks for the idea to get someone else to look at it…I have sent a copy to Andrew Spark.

Remember it is a poster but it has a lot of info on it.

Do the images speak?

Yes,it has info but I didn't know what is Artlink till the other day,I think it should have :felting,crotchet ,knitting,sewing so people know what fibre on poster mean.To tell the truth ,I never went to last festival because didn't say what you can do there, we need to to it very plain so ordinary people understand what is about.Poster is very nice but info is not really clear to me.

Hi Mieke,

I would suggest replacing http://goo.gl/ORP4On. This url is great for twitter but doesn't have the festival name, which might put people off.

I would suggest using

tinyurl.com/theknotfibrefestival

(or if you prefer http://tinyurl.com/theknotfibrefestival but browsers these days don't need the http added - they work that bit out themselves) since this has the festival name but is still short. Looks as if you have the space for it, too.

Hello Beth, Dorothy and Visnja,

thanks for your suggestions.

Beth…I will change the URL to tinyurl.com/theknotfibrefestival as you suggest.

Dorothy/Visnja…I passed the poster by Andrew Spark (graphic designer/marketing) yes he understood the content and only suggested to make the Knot Fibre Festival logo and Textile Tasters larger. I will also make the ArtsConnect Ipswich logo more prominent as possible.

I will get a few printed for the windows after 9.30am Monday as we will be installing windows at ArtTime and near Gemutlich. We are hoping to get some coverage by the papers.
