Paula Rego (Portugal/Britain) is an acclaimed contemporary artist whose

magical realist figurative paintings have been exhibited widely in solo

shows in Europe (including Tate Britain) and America.

She was the first Artist-In-Residence at the National Gallery, London.

Painting from the 1960s on, Paula Rego, now in her 80s, finally agreed

to her son, film-maker Nick Willing, making a documentary about her.

The film covers her early years in Portugal, and later life and career
in London. Its moving insights into her life and experiences include amazing

archival footage and a wide range of her work.

Tivoli's current exhibit ENCOUNTER GROUP EXHIBITION includes an

etching by Rego, The Guardian, 2009
