Lauren Nancarrow, Rua Kenana

Waiheke-based artist Lauren Nancarrow is a descendant of major Tuhoe

leader and prophet Rua Kenana. She has kindly loaned the portrait to

Tivoli for the duration of the current exhibition.

Rua Kenana was 'pardoned by the Crown' last week 101 years after his

wrongful incarceration.
