Francis Pound, major New Zealand art historian, critic and curator died on Sunday October 15.

His passing is a huge loss to his family and friends, and to the New Zealand arts community.

Among many publications by Francis his most recent major contribution to New Zealand art history was The Invention of New Zealand, Art and National Identity 1930 - 1970.

The funeral ceremony will be held at St Matthews-in-the-City

at 2 pm on Thursday October
