Greetings All

For the fifth week of our seven
'Tivoli Turns Ten'
Saturday evening anniversary events we are screening
the very first film that Liz Eastmond's dad, Gregory
Eastmond, screened at the opening of his cinema
'The Tivoli' on December 19, 1932

JACK'S THE BOY
Saturday November 11, 6pm
dir Walter Forde, 91 mins
starring Jack Hulbert and Cecily Courtneidge

A slapstick Brit comedy, it became famous for its
song 'The Flies Crawled up the Window', which became
a hit. Hulbert plays an often drunk and silly toff and the
film includes classic music-hall gags such as the
chaos-creating builder's extra-long ladder.
