Whenyou attach the scanner, via the USB cable, do you get a chime like the computer recognizes that you plugged something in? How about in the lower right hand corner, anything popping up down there?

So the hardware is seeing the scanner, which means John is correct that the driver did not install. Try just deleting those devices out of the device manager and then refreshing and see if you can get to prompt you for where the driver is. You could also try right clicking the device and trying the troubleshoot option. If all that fails, do a system restore back to before you installed anything or plugged anything in. For future reference, for USB devices, you almost always install the software first.

For reasons unknown, our Adobe DC combined with Fujitsu fi-6670 scanner has started to "offset" the page, shifting it to the left about 1/2". That is, the left edge is truncated by that amount, and then the right edge will have an additional gray vertical bar. I have the latest PaperStream IP TWAIN driver installed and latest DC updates installed. If I scan using the fi-6670's own software, it looks fine, but when I scan inside DC, it's offset every time. I cannot find a setting to change this within DC.

Found the fix. I called Fujitsu and they remoted into my system. When doing the Adobe Scan, there's an option to use the scanners settings under the Scanner Name. We checked the box and clicked scan and it opened up the scanner options. The scanner paper size was set to Double Letter as the default. I guess this is the default for the Fujitsu Fi-6770 scanner as we're having the issue on another one of this models scanners. We changed the default to Letter and everything scanned in fine after that. We had set the default in Adobe Acrobat Pro to automatic, but it seems the scanner was overriding it somehow.

What would be the correct Version/Revision of ISIS driver to use with the fi-6670 with Laserfiche 9.1? Does TWAIN work with this scanner and LF? I see that the scanner with the ISIS driver is certificed.

You should be good with using the PaperStream IP (TWAIN) 1.40.0.5555 driver. This should be compatible with LF and will allow you to do image clean up. As for the ISIS drivers you can use PaperStream IP (ISIS) 1.40.0.5555. You can download the drivers from here.

Designed with outstanding paper handling, high scan speeds up to 90ppm/180ipm and intelligent productivity enhancement features, the Fujitsu fi-6670 scanner delivers the automation and dependability needed for mission-critical production scanning applications. In addition, innovative features such as an intelligent multi-feed function drastically improves the batch scanning process by allowing the ultrasonic double-feed detection sensor to be trained to ignore intentional overlapping documents such as photos in insurance, patient label stickers in healthcare and taped on receipts for accounting expense reports.

In keeping with the Fujitsu tradition, the fi-6670 is the latest to adhere to the strictest of environmental regulations including Energy Star, Reduction of Hazardous Substances and Volatile Organic Compound to better our environment. Transform your paper documents into useful electronic data in a flash with the intelligent scanning features of the fi-6670 production scanner.

The PaperStream IP driver takes the work out of image cleanup when scanning invoices, ID cards, receipts, forms, or any other day to day paperwork. PaperStream IP automatically improves the image quality, removes unwanted backgrounds, and optimizes your scanned images for optical character recognition. It is fast and easy to use.

Our latest innovation, Assisted Scan, allows users to replace poor images by visually selecting the image they lack rather than learning driver settings. If driver settings need to be adjusted for rare and difficult documents, our preview function allows scan operators to see their adjustments in real-time without time consuming re-scans. PSIP works with both ISIS and TWAIN applications

Whether the infrastructure is fixed or expanding, managing technology efficiently inside the organization is key to reducing total cost of ownership and the Fujitsu fi-6670

scanner provides system administrators with advanced software tools to centrally manage the scanner more productively and cost effectively.

When I tried installing the ISIS driver and reboot then load Laserfiche scanning, when loading the drivers, it errors out saying "Scanner driver cannot be detected". Re-launching Laserfiche scanning will make it run but the driver wont show up in choosing the scanner. Anyone out there tested this new Fujitsu scanner? If so, is it reliable enough for Laserfiche? Thanks in advance!

I've not installed the new one yet but ScanConnect shouldn't be required with the TWAIN PaperStream and hope we don't need it for ISIS. Perhaps there's a performance different between TWAIN and ISIS but am hoping not.

Yup...I tested 2 of their scanner and PaperStream IP TWAIN does not require ScanConnect but you will still get the bare minimum scanner settings just like their previous scanners with TWAIN. I tested PaperStream IP ISIS with ScanConnect (it is required, too bad no more Kofak that saves clients to purchase ScanConnect) and the image quality it produces is slightly better.

Levi, we have tried Twain and ScanConnect with a fi7260 and could not get ScanConnect to even recognize the scanner even though we installed PaperStream IP ISIS drivers. Did you have to do something special to get it to be recognized within Laserfiche? Twain / WIA Twain didn't give us any options for adjustments other than dpi.

I need help too. I'm trying to get Scanconnect 8.3 to recognize the new Fi7160 scanner. The computer sees it in the devices and printers folder. I believe I have tried all the "fixes" suggested here but Laserfiche/Scanconnect will not recognize the existence of the Fi7160 scanner. Very frustrating! Is there a newer version of scannconnect?

I recently installed 64bit drivers for the Fujitsu 7700 on Windows 10. It worked fine for a week or so and then the system must have gotten a Windows 10 update and it was no longer visible in Laserfiche but worked fine in Windows.

Re-installing the drivers of Laserfiche client did not work. Our VAR informed us that there was something similar in answers stating to use 32bit drivers. We tried that and so far it seems like it's working fine.

The Fujitsu fi-6670 desktop scanner, along with the fi-6770 desktop scanner, delivers the automation and dependability needed for mission-critical production scanning applications. With intelligent multi-feed function to improve batch scanning and supplied software for enhanced image quality, the Fujitsu fi-6670 gives reliable performance in high-volume applications. See current models in the Desktop Scanners line.

If you're using Windows and you've installed a Fujitsu driver, VueScan's built-in drivers won't conflict with this. If you haven't installed a Windows driver for this scanner, VueScan will automatically install a driver.

Welcome to the Fujitsu Scanner configuration site. Below you will see a list of configuration changes made to specific models of Fujitsu scanners to work with Kurzweil 3000. These configuration changes should not be made unless you expierence issues with your scanner, using the default settings.

3. Make sure to you install the latest drivers for your scanner. Drivers for your scanner can usually be found on the manufacturer's website. You may have to uninstall your older scanner software and drivers before installing an updated software/driver package for your scanner.

5. On your computer, run the C:\Program Files (x86)\Kurzweil Educational Systems\Diags\ScanConf.exe file. This is a Scanner Configuration utility which can modify how K3000 interfaces with your scanner drivers.
