in February 2012, after Jepsen was signed to Scooter Braun's label School Boy Records, Braun was sent new songs from Owl City's then-upcoming album by his manager Steve Bursky, with Good Time among them. Braun suggested the song should be the lead single and feature Jepsen's vocals, to which Bursky agreed. Carly recorded her vocals for the song in March 2012 in Ontario, Canada, without ever having met Owl City at the time. [2][3]

I lived in New York for several years until recently, and living there was one of the great joys of my adult life. I know the city extremely well, and this guide is full of tidbits that you only get after living awhile in New York.

Spring in New York is absolutely beautiful and a great time to visit. As long as you come during actual spring: early April through early June. March is still very much winter temperatures here.

On the other hand, summer can be miserable. The smell of garbage is particularly pungent in New York at this time of the year. Waiting for the subway can be on a platform 10+ degrees hotter than the temperature outside. And subway cars that have lost AC are their own brand of hell.

You can expect average temperatures in New York in March to be 36 to 50 Fahrenheit (2 to 10 Celsius). There is usually at least one snowstorm in March as well, sometimes more than one, and the weather still feels like winter through the end of the month.

April is when New York starts to awake into spring, which makes it a lovely time to visit New York. In the early days of April, you can find cherry blossoms blooming and colorful flowers all around. Temperatures are moderate, though you may have a few cold and hot days mixed in.

July is the hottest month in New York, and there are plenty of tourists in the city at this time. You can expect humid, sticky weather that can get uncomfortable for spending much of your time outdoors.

December in New York is cold, but rarely very snowy. Some people think the best time to visit New York is during the Christmas season, so get ready for high prices and huge tourist crowds! If you enjoy the holidays, it can be a great time to visit New York, but it will be too cold to spend all of your time outdoors.

The cheapest time to visit New York is during the winter months: January, February, and March. Accommodation are at their lowest prices. Flights and trains tend to be cheap, too, outside of holiday weekends like Martin Luther King Day. And a lot of Broadway shows have cheap tickets available (nope, not Hamilton so much, but pretty much anything else).

Most people would describe Salt Lake as "chill," "fun-loving," "outdoorsy," "adventurous," and "kind of a foodie." And yes, that sounds like the city has a Tinder profile, but truly, this town gets along with just about anyone and is always up for a good time.

Whatever your age, the historic Liberty Park, set just a few minutes outside downtown Salt Lake, is somewhere you could spend entire days of your life. This community hub offers multiple playgrounds and kids' areas, giant shade trees, acres and acres of grass, a duck pond with its own island gazebo, a prime-time running trail, a kid-oriented area with rides, and, most excitingly, Tracy Aviary. This beloved aviary is home to 400 birds from around the world, and its informational exhibits and shows-not to mention the incredibly beautiful birds-will delight any visitor. (Bonus: your Salt Lake Connect Pass gets you in for free.)

A remnant of ancient Lake Bonneville that used to cover the present-day Salt Lake Valley, the Great Salt Lake is just what it sounds like-a fascinating body of water so salty that only brine shrimp can live in it. Drive about half an hour west of the city on I-80 and exit at the Great Saltair event venue, where you'll find a quiet desert beach with a gorgeous view of Antelope Island in the distance. The tiny, salt-loving organisms in the water turn it a rosy hue that's both strange and stunning.

We'll preface with: the Wasatch Mountains offer countless trails for exploration, both winter and summer. But if you're staying in town and you don't fancy yourself a full-on Shackleton when it comes to navigation, keep things mellow and explore one of the fantastic trails ascending directly above the city. We dig the Ensign Peak trail, a short (but steep!) walk from the Capitol neighborhood to a prominent overlook above the valley. If you're down for something a tad longer, snag directions to the Living Room, a charming overlook above the University of Utah. Not only is it the best place for a sunset view of the city, but there's furniture made of piled-up rocks for those in the mood to settle in and stay a while.

Since the Great Recession, commercial banks have been moving away from financing land because of the higher risk and long timeline for development" he said. Now, we are seeing some of these transactions are supported by Amazon and other companies leasing land for storage of their delivery trucks, which offers a more direct and lower risk opportunity for investors.

While we do not currently offer advance admission, guests may purchase a membership online HERE which provides free access to our site and free/reduced access to dozens of other American Horticultural Society reciprocal gardens in the US and Canada. Please allow 2 weeks for your membership card to arrive. Note that there may still be lines to enter the parking lot and the park itself. Due to visitor number restrictions, we are unable to guarantee entrance to the park at peak times.

In the back of the park is a ride called Malibu Run. There are Four (4) individual single-person inner-tube slides (Dropoff, Heavy Swell, Rincon, Wave Chaser), including both open flumes and enclosed, dark flumes. You are Dispatched from a platform over 39 feet high but be prepared for a very long wait time. The line does not move fast.

After some waves we went to Toyota beach house and laughed like crazy. It was so much fun. Even my two 12 year olds were having a blast. There are water guns, giant buckets, slides and funnels that will keep you busy for a really long time. I think we spent an hour here. We sprayed each other non stop and stoop underneath the giant bucket and had water poured on our heads.

Finally it was time for lunch. We had Pizza at Portside Pizza because it was the least expensive option and the Pizza was really good. Then we treated ourselves to some dipping dots. If you have never had dipping dots before I recommend you try some. They are such a treat!

Hi! We will be traveling to the city over thanksgiving. (4 adults and 3 children 4 and under). How does the subway pass work? Should the adults all purchase a weekly pass? We are also taking 2 strollers because our kids cannot manage without them. I know this is annoying to locals, but they will just have to deal. Any further advice on traveling with kids? TIA!

Autumn is the best time to visit Canada and Québec City for those who love nature. While the changing colours of the leaves are pretty in every province, Québec and Eastern Canada offers a brighter array by the end of September and early October.

Adventure City is a must go to place, it's a hidden amusement park that sits in the shadows of those big guys. The place is clean, well-kept and with friendly staff that are there to make sure everyone has a good time. Triple the fun at a fraction of the cost.

One of the most essential parts of planning a trip is figuring out the best time to visit the destination of your choice. Therefore, if you are heading to The Big Apple for a stay, the good news is that the best time to visit is pretty much anytime. In fact, the City has something for everyone year-round, and each of its four seasons are all gorgeous in their own special way.

Fall and spring are considered by tourists and locals as the best times to visit, and you can expect pleasant temperatures to reign in the months from April to June and September until November. However, the best times of year to visit New York City for warm weather activities are from mid-June to July and from early August to the end of September.

You can expect mild temperatures to dominate in the months from September until November. Early fall offers crisp breezes and bright, golden sunlight peeking through the trees and cityscapes. The fall foliage in NYC is to die for and fall festivals, packed with hundreds of events to choose from abound during this time.

Spring continues, and temperatures continue to warm up more in April. The daytime temperatures will stay around 55 to 66F and lows are around 41 to 51F. Outdoor activities continue to attract, and now is prime time to walk the Highline and take in the arts and scenery or enjoy the fresh air and animals at the Bronx Zoo. You can enjoy times up high, too, and the Empire State Building, Top of the Rock and the Edge provide jaw dropping vantage points to see spring splendor and other cool sights from high above.

The mercury hits 84F and goes down to around 80F the last week of August. The month is pretty much smack-dab in the sultry dog days of summer, so the theme is relief from the sun with some shade. This year, be sure to check out the eye-catching new features on the recently renovated and covered Concert Grove Pavilion, which can be reserved for private parties, and the Endale Arch. Meanwhile, all indoor city pools have reopened in NYC and one to try out is Wall Street Bath & Spa. The establishment not only has a cold-plunge pool, but it also has a hot tub, a steam room, and several saunas.
