Once payment is completed, you can schedule your visa appointment via www.ustraveldocs.com/th the following business day after 12.00 (if paid by cash) or 2 business days later after 14.00 (if paid via EFT).
If your visa application is approved, your visa will not be issued on the day of your interview. Your passport with your visa will be returned to you by Thailand Post. When you receive your visa, please confirm the all of the information is correct.
We recommend prospective travelers submit their applications well in advance. Applicants should refrain from contacting the Embassy Consular Section merely to inquire about the status of their application until the full processing time has expired. We also strongly recommend that applicants not purchase airplane tickets or make nonrefundable travel arrangements until they have actually received their visa; visa applicants should never assume their application will be automatically approved.
The Embassy does not store prohibited items for visa applicants. There is no facility at the Embassy to store such items, so you must make arrangements to store these items elsewhere before you enter. If you arrive with a prohibited item, you will be turned away and asked to make a new appointment.
Most of the visa waiting room at the U.S. Embassy and Consulate General is a covered but outdoor space with no air filtration system. During periods of unhealthy or hazardous air quality customers should consider taking precautions to protect themselves. While customers are required to remove facemasks during the security screening and interview, customers are allowed to wear facemasks while sitting in the waiting room. If you wish to reschedule your appointment during a period of unhealthy or hazardous air please note that visa applicants can reschedule up to three times without additional charge. For more information about rescheduling your appointment please see the Schedule My Appointment page on www.ustraveldocs.com/th.
Treaty Trader (E-1) and Treaty Investor (E-2) visas are for citizens of countries with which the United States maintains treaties of commerce and navigation. Thailand is one of these countries. For a list of all treaty countries, click here.
The spouse and unmarried children (under 21 years of age) of treaty traders, treaty investors, or employees of enterprises may receive dependent E visas in order to accompany or follow to join their spouse or parent. They are not required to have the same nationality as the principal applicant to obtain an E visa.
E visas permit the investor/trader and his or her family to live in the United States during the period of stay authorized by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). E visas are nonimmigrant visas; consequently, visa holders are allowed to live in the United States only so long as the conditions under which the visa was granted remain valid. Holders of E visas must intend to depart the United States upon the termination of their E status. Dependents are not authorized to work in the U.S. unless they receive explicit authorization to do so from DHS-USCIS in the United States. Dependents of treaty traders/investors may apply for work authorization after their arrival in the United States.
How Long is Visa Processing?
Your E-visa application requires a lengthy review of up to four weeks. Therefore, we must receive your supporting documents at least 15 business days before your interview date. Failure to submit your documents in a timely manner will significantly delay your appointment time. If we do not receive your documents at least 15 business days prior to your interview date, your interview date will be rescheduled to at least three weeks after you submit your documents. Your interview date can be rescheduled up to 3 times. After that, you will have to repay the visa fee and restart the process from the beginning. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU PREPARE ALL THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS BEFORE YOU SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT.
How to Reapply

I am travelling to Phuket via Bangkok. I have 1.30 hrs of lay over time at Bangkok airport. I have booked the ticket through Thai Airways. So assuming this is not enough time for applying visa on arrival at Bangkok airport. In this scenario, can I apply on arrival visa at Phuket airport directly ?
No. The visa on arrival must be applied at the point of entry ( which is Bangkok Airport). If you have booked your flight through Thai airways ( Your country-Bangkok-Phuket all Thai Airways), you may want to contact Thai Airways if they can facilitate your visa on arrival in Bangkok.

All immigrant visa applicants, regardless of age, require a medical examination prior to the issuance of a visa. Only a physician accredited by the U.S. Embassy can perform this exam. It is your responsibility to schedule a medical exam with one of the doctors listed below before your visa interview at the U.S. Embassy. Medical examination results from other physicians will not be accepted. Your visa expiration date will be the same as the expiration date of your medical exam (usually six months from the date of the exam, and sometimes three months for certain medical conditions). You should schedule your medical exam to occur at least 10 business days before your interview date to make sure the exam is complete, and you have as much validity on your visa as possible.
If your medical examination report will not be completed by the time of your interview (due to ongoing testing, treatment, or other reason), it must be rescheduled until you receive your completed medical examination report. You can contact visa...@state.gov to reschedule your visa interview. Instructions for obtaining a medical exam can be found on our website. The fees listed below are for the medical examination only. You may be required to pay a separate fee for immunizations.
The medical examination will include a medical history review, physical examination, and chest X-ray and blood tests (for applicants 15 years of age or older). The United States also requires tuberculosis (TB) testing for all applicants two years of age and older. Please be prepared to discuss your medical history, medications you are taking, and current treatments you are undergoing. More information on general medical requirements for U.S. immigrants is available on CDC web page.
U.S. immigration law requires immigrant visa applicants to obtain certain vaccinations prior to the issuance of a visa. Current immigrant visa vaccination requirements are available on CDC web page. You can also read Frequently Asked Questions about our medical examination requirements online.
United States immigration law requires immigrant and fiancé(e) K visa applicants to obtain certain vaccinations (listed below) prior to the issuance of a visa. Panel physicians who conduct medical examinations are now required to verify that visa applicants have met the new vaccination requirements, or that it is medically inappropriate for the visa applicant to receive one or more of the listed vaccinations:
To assist the panel physician and avoid processing delays, all immigrant and fiancé(e) K visa applicants should have their vaccination records available for the panel physician's review at the time of the medical examination. You should consult with your regular health care provider to obtain a copy of your immunization record if one is available. If you do not have a vaccination record, the panel physician will work with you to determine which vaccinations you may need to meet the requirements. Certain waivers of the vaccination requirements are available upon the recommendation of the panel physician.
