Can anybody explain me what upgrade I have to take? Or do I have to wait for Movie Studio 2023?

Thanks!

I thought you had the current 2022 version. There have been no new patches since your last post. Sometimes new offers popup because of a new third party plugin is offered and not because the program has been updated.

. Recommended system requirements Processor: - Intel 6th generation Core i-series or higher - AMD Ryzen or higher RAM: RAM: 16 GB Graphics card: INFUSION Engine 3 provides hardware acceleration for import and export using Intel, NVIDIA and AMD GPUs: - Intel Graphics HD 620 or higher with 4 GB (Intel driver version 27.20.100.9466 or higher) - NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050ti or higher with 4 GB (GeForce Game Ready driver version 496.76 or higher) - AMD Radeon RX470 or higher with 4 GB Available drive space: 2 GB for program installation (10 GB recommended) Program languages: English, Deutsch, Franais, Nederlands

While the program may run on lower specs you may well not be able to make full use of any hardware acceleration settings and some plugins may not work or cause crashes because of the lack of hardware acceleration. Sometimes, some plugins allow for the hardware acceleration to be turned off but not always.

1 x 250GB Evo 970 NVMe: drive for C: drive backup 1 x 1TB Sabrent NVMe drive for Operating System / Programs only. 1X WD BLACK 1TB internal SATA 7,200rpm hard drives.1 for internal projects, 1 for Library clips/sounds/music/stills./backup of working projects. 1x500GB SSD current project only drive, 2x WD RED 2TB drives for latest footage storage. Total 21TB of 8 external WD drives for backup.

You don't have to take any upgrade at the moment - you already have Movie Studio 2022 Platinum before the start of this year it was called Movie Edit Pro 2022 Plus, the only difference is the name of the product and editions.

Intel has just released the specs for their A750 card set to compete against the nvidia 3060 but still no sign of any Ark desktop GPU being released yet even though the specs for their initial three graphics cards have been released.

How that will work with a lot of us not having either an i-12 processor or Ark graphics card makes me wonder if there was a noticeable difference between VPX 13 and 14 performance. The people here on average (with the odd exception) that have the least problems have the more powerful and up to date systems.

I was initially interested in Arc. It looked good for video production. I'm assuming Magix is interested as there is no levy on vp09 and is if not better than, at least equal to H265 IMO based on results I have seen. But now I'm not sure how it would integrate into my system. i12 processors are also power hungry when pushed.

Arc was supposed to come out in May. They had driver issues but there may be deeper problems with the chiplets themselves that programming may not be able to overcome. So far the delay has cost Intel a rumoured 3.1 billion dollars. Third party vendors waiting for the final version for production were still waiting for a date for the plans two weeks ago. Asus are on record of saying they have heard nothing official from Intel.

The delays have caused too much speculation to now get a clear idea of what is actually going on and the now glut of nvidia and AMD cards may not make a third major company entering the graphics card market as viable.

I'm attempting to use Magix Movie Edit Pro Premium 2021, but the whole thing is not displaying right. I can't even access the tracks, or anything. It's just the preview screen and the FX folders (screenshots added below). I have checked every drop-down menu and can't find how to change the work area. I've uninstalled and reinstalled everything (rebooting the computer each time). It doesn't even have a tab at the top to close, minimize, or enlarge the work area. I have to close it from the toolbar down at the bottom of my desktop. I just bought it yesterday, and haven't been able to play with it at all.

Well, making progress, I guess? I hit F9 and a grey box appeared over the black screen, and I actually had a menu bar at the top for importing the files and accessing the FX. But I clicked outside the grey box, and it disappeared. I tried the expand button in the upper right corner of the tree, and the menu bar disappeared. I couldn't figure out how to bring it back, so I closed the app, and opened it again. The menu bar returned, but no menus.

My struggle is over! I built my (now) system 2 in 2011 when DV was king and MPEG 2 was just coming onto the scene and I needed a more powerful system to cope. Since then we've advanced to MP4 and to bigger and bigger resolutions. I was really suffering, not so much in editing (with proxies) but in encoding, which just took ages. A video, with Neat Video noise reduction applied, would encode at 12% of film speed. My new system 1 does the same job at 160% of film speed. Marvellous. I'm keeping my old system as a capture station for analogue video tapes and DV.

And... interesting problem -- the drop-down menus disappeared for awhile when I f9'd (and I failed at getting a screenshot of that, sorry). Holding the key down, I was able to see that it was hiding behind a secondary menu. That was the only way I knew (it was out of frustration that I just held the key down; assuming that if I was insistent enough, it would do what I demanded -- of course this doesn't work on people, so why would I even think it would work on software?). Weirdly enough, fiddling around with it, and making the preview screen fill the desktop, then putting it back to what it was, revealed the drop-downs. Followed your instructions and....

This is probably a stupid question, but would downloading and installing the trial version, first, cause this? I mean, the trial version was exactly like this, and I assumed the serial code would clear it up? Okay, I know that sounds stupid. Hardware, I'm good with. I could build you a screaming gaming computer blindfolded and drunk. Software? Not so much.

There has been a change in the way the F9 keyboard shortcut works - it does not set the MEP 2021 panes back to the Standard arrangement (default), which has no keyboard shortcut, it reverts the last saved layout when you previously closed the program and enable a faster reset to that layout if you change a pane size or remove one while editing.

Day off, so I slept in. Nice to wake up to see more help. I appreciate y'all! I'ma gonna try each thing, one at a time, and give you my results. And my apologies if I give y'all too much detail. I figure too much is better than not enough.

I hadn't yet imported any files, so no problem there. Bad news is, when I opened the app up, the drop-down menus were missing. Again. Doing what I did last time? Didn't work. Good news? I got a screenshot of it this time.
