Subject: [lcclcaptains] Fall 2020 League Update

Captains,

If you have not seen the schedule yet, it is now posted on cricclub for the season.  We have two divisions with 8 teams and one division with 6.  Each division will play all teams once division, but Division 3 ( they will play two teams twice)that will give each team their seed going not the post season tournament.  We will then run a double elimination tournament that will give all teams at least two tournament games.

Due to the situation we face this season we are allowing all teams to hold up to 30 players on their roster this season.  I will be using rosters from the spring season unless you have submitted a new roster.  If you have any changes from the Spring season you will need to submit either a new roster or a change of roster form with the new players information.  We will also be allowing teams to add players up to 30 players ( this is only adds not changes) up to the third game of the season.  So if you start the season with 25 player you are allowed to add another 5 players to your roster up to the third game.  This does not mean you can drop players and then add new players this again is only for adding payers.   All rosters must be into me by July 23rd.  If any changes are made after that they will need to come to me first then we will make the changes to the cricclub site.

Teams have been asking about practice times.  MGP is the only field at this time that I have open for teams to practice. Both fields are open to play  on a first come first bases, but I ask that you limit your time to only two hours.  If someone wants to create a google doc practice schedule they can do so.

We will be looking  into the rules for the number of games each player has to play to qualify for the playoffs just this season.  I will touch base with all teams again once we have looked this over and made a decision on this rule.

If you have any questions before the season starts please let me know.  Please look over the Play It Smart  guidelines that we will be expecting all teams to abide by going into this season. Everyone needs to do their part to give everyone the best chance of a safe season.
