Dear all,

 

I am a PhD student from London and in Delhi for my PhD research and field work. I am looking for students who can support me with some transcription work in English, with some Hindi/Marathi phrases. I would be happy if you could share this mail with friends or colleagues whom you think might be interested in doing this kind of work.

 

My thesis is on governance and strategic policy making around urban densification. The interviews are in English, with the occasional phrase in Hindi/Marathi.

 

The students will receive the interviews as audio files on cassette/disk to transcribe (i.e., put into script what they hear) the English and Hindi/Marathi sequences. The transcription should be done on PC and in Microsoft word in Roman script for English and in Devnagri for Hindi/Marathi. Turnaround has to be quick, within 3 days of receiving the files.

 

There are approximately 50 hours of recordings, and possibly more so I am looking for multiple people to work on this. The payment will be based on the number of minutes/hours transcribed. There will be adequate payment.
