Well,

Just joined work today. This is my new mobile no +919590030123. Settled here in Blore, kids have joined school, and I got a maid. Work is pretty hectic. Did a 2 wk induction prog. The org is great. travelled to outskirts already.

Great Sapna, Its a good initiative to keep in touch ..now that everyone has joined work and has something to rant about..:)

I have joined APAC (AIDS prevention and Control Project) in Chennai..and its been 1.5 months now (Phew..) I am a research fellow here and am writing research papers, abstracts, documenting best practices etc. at present. They have been conducting BSS for the past 15 years so have okay types data..but the topic of sexual health itself does not interest me much..so dont intend to put up for long...

Neway..the high point of your mail according to me was that u have got a MAID..!! I am struggling with 'office-house work-cooking-language barrier-chennai heat' et al. and have failed to find a maid..:(

Neway enough from me...game for more rants nyone??

Hehe! Saumya, enjoyed your reply thoroughly. Congrats for the new job and also for the awards! Wish you were present for the convocation. Haven't the rains arrived there yet? In spite of all those struggles, hope you are enjoying your time. 

As for me, I will be joining Feedback Ventures (Andheri) next week as an Associate. Don't intend to stay there long. Hope to move on to better (and more useful) things soon. Till now, I've been using my time to read stuff- novels, magazines etc.  Don't know if I'll get time for all this later on... 

Sapana madam, I hope you use your mobile more efficiently; now that Swati and Amit are not around you any more. Good to know that you've nicely settled in B'lore. Regards to the kids.

hi all,
I hope there will be more infor coming from the rest of us  in other parts of the country. As I've said enough numbe rof times already   , so far the work is quite enjoyable . I thought I was going to stick to operations part -but Anne (the female who interviewed us) is leaving for  somewhere abroad so I'm in the thick of fundraising too .So attending meetings at 5  star hotels and high rises in addition to doing clinics in shivaji nagar dumps !! Overall exciting so far . Lets see .I hope i can settle down fast and carry out some research too .  We do patient care , drug distribution to organizations across india , antitobacco education in mumbai municipal schools/healtheducation  and emergencies -havent yet put my foot in the latter two but I guess I have my plate happily full . Reach office before nine and before I know it, it 's six o clock!! 
 
Saumya all my sympathies with you . everyday I get up and thank god for the maid ! last month she was sick for almost a week and i had a harrowing time withthe kids at home and a  new job where i wanted to make a good impression!! But dont worry -there is always a dawn after the lack-of-maid-induced-night!!   you'll find one soon enough. We thought of u a lot on the convocation day. But it is understandable -when ure just married, collecting a prize is a very minor issue in the long scheme of things .  
 
Vijaya, do keep us informed about all events leading to the wedding , the shopping the visiting etc. I miss chats with you .
 
And Juhi where are you and what are u doing ? have u joined reliance?
 
 
Hairan pareshaan shikha, please write more about yourself and your work .Do you get to talk to amit or not at all.and how's ruchi??
 Amit i shall phone u one of these days if i manage to get back home early-dont want to use the office mobile/time  for non-emergencies!

Glad it rained there. Mumbai has become a pressure cooker! It's really hot and humid. 

And yes, I read H2G2 last month!- all 6 parts... It's amazingly witty and totally hilarious! I've become a big fan! Wish I had read it when I was a kid. But never mind... it's never to late :)

Hey all...and swati, since you asked for me in particular..;-). 

Have joined Reliance foundation, jus been a few days yet, so still in the process of figuring out the who's and what's of the place. Our roles are not very clear yet..Just getting used to travelling kalyan to ghansoli everyday as of now...!

The fact that it is a new organization with not a very elaborate set up is both challenging and interesting. Soon we'l be going to a few of their project sites as an orientation, mainly some of the villages in Maharashtra and MP. Have joined it with an open mind, intend to take things as they come initially and not think too much..:-) 

Will you know more as it happens..

Dr Dwivedi 's wedding-Finally!! Now nobody will be able to extract too much  work out of him- he will want to go home in a hurry !!(By the way I dreamt of Sivakami ma'am last night!)
Congrats to th new cooks . By the way I too have started to make chapaties -which I did not for the past two years on thepretext of having to study!  Now there is no excuse to make chores  wait!!
 
Kids going back to school from thursday/friday.. there'll be some relief?!? They have run wild in the vacation .  Going to del this weekend on my own -some ceremony in the family . But none of you are there !!
Poring over boring numbers and has cleared outside only now. thinking of the new campus in the rains .. 
Juhi , anytime you're in town or close to where I live/work(Khar west) please call me .

Guess what all of u! I am literally in a soup! This org is more corporatish than NGOish. they work only on mails, microsoft outlook, skype and even time schedules and log in (for work) is done on crazy softwares that i can Make neither head nor tail of. All bosses all always travelling and order things on net.they are probably going to ask me to travel as well. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Tomorrow  I have to make a presentation and pitch for donation to some organization where SNEHA   several and others are  presenting too . And as expected the boss travelling !(I think the  importance of a NGO is measured by the BOSS's air-miles-what say??   ha ha bhagwan hi bachaye ab. My only saving grace is the experience of the N number of TISS presentations and hope that these folks will be small fry compared t our profs!! Keeping fingers crossed ..

Hello all, what's up?

Started working from Monday at Feedback. It's a totally corporate environment. And they are involved in the tertiary care only! All the PPP and equity stuff that they talked about is virtually non-existent. The people are ok. I somehow sense a level of ennui and dissatisfaction among them all. I don't think I can take it for long! haha

Now I have decided to use this experience to get an insiders' perspective on these 'corporate affairs'. I think it will be useful in future ;) One good thing is that I'm learning Financial accounting now.  I'll be traveling to Gurgaon next Monday (13th) for some work for 2-3 days.

I guess Mayur must have tied the knot by now! So... Congratulations Mayur and all the best! :) My best wishes for a productive and successful career too...

Vijaya, how are the marriage preparations going on? I don't think I'll be able to attend it yaar, really sorry. :( All the best to you too dear. Will call you...

i guess ...After a month I am opening my gmail.
Its good to see your mails.
I read it today. Took a off today. Thats how i got the time.
Job is very exciting. I am enjoying it.
It was nice talking to harshal that day.
It felt as if i was in tiss for a while with amit, pooja, shikha,
srini and other MHA students in Lucknow.
I miss mumbai and TISS campus.
Amazingly I dont see shikha's and amit's mail.
Looks like they are really busy :-)
