Dear Colleagues and Students of Prof. Toscano from India,

I am sorry for the delay in sending out the zoom invite for Prof Toscano’s retirement and birthday party. Due to some technical challenges, I am still working on it. Hope to have it to you by tonight.

Here are the details because there is a delay in getting the link to you. 

The zoom party will be on Friday, June 26th, 9 pm, India time. It is a surprise. Please keep a message ready as each of us will have about 30 seconds to say something and he would not want to miss hearing from anyone. If you’ll have pictures with him, please keep them handy and we will be sharing a Dropbox link where you can drag and drop them. He would love to see these memories. 

We are also initiating a ‘Diane and Bill Toscano Global Health Education Fund’.  I shall send you a link when it is ready, in case you would like to contribute to it.

Before anything I want you to know that we are planning a SURPRISE zoom call for him just a couple days before his retirement. Please do not write to him regarding this especially on facebook. 

I am writing to you for several reasons:

1. I shall send an invite for you’ll to join his e-party. If you’ll can make it, please do. It will make him very happy. It will be late on June 26. 

There will be faculty, friends, family and students on this call. We are planning it such that everyone gets a chance to say something. We and he, both would love to hear from everyone. I shall keep you posted. Once I send the invite, please send in your thoughts or comments incase you have doubts. 

2. If you’ll know other students, please send me their emails so I can extend the invitation to them. Check everyone who is on the cc list in this email before suggesting contact information. 

3. If you’ll could coordinate amongst yourselves, as per your batches, and send him something on email, it will make him happy. Please send whatever you have to, AFTER the zoom call. Your pictures with him… a slideshow of that. Or you’ll can quick share on zoom! Think of something. If not, that is fine. Emails are better than facebook because face book messages are hard to get back to.

4. Please do not hit “reply all”unless you think it is something that everyone on this email must read. I dont want to spam anyones email.
