Hi tiss2008_2010,
Last year, along with 100,000 other Tata customers, I wrote to Mr. Ratan Tata asking him to stop his port in Orissa because if this port is built, it could push the endangered Olive Ridley turtles closer to extinction.
The turtles have been around for 100 million years and they come from places as far away as Australia and the Philippines to mate and lay eggs here. Where would you go if a giant port was built right next to your honeymoon suite and maternity ward?
After all the pressure from people like you and me, the Tatas agreed to lots of things. But they haven't stopped the port for even a minute. Construction goes on day and night, even as the turtles have arrived to mate and lay eggs. This insanity has simply got to stop.
That's why I sent a fax directly to Mr. Tata today. I think you should do it too.
I know it takes more than just one person to make a giant corporation see sense. It takes thousands. Simply click here to do what I've done.
Thanks so much for helping out,
