Darkcreatures are magical creatures who are associated with evil, night, and darkness. They live to oppose their counterparts, the Light Creatures. Many of them serve rulers such as the Demon King or the Underking.
Dark creatures are malevolent beings who are dark by nature, or beings who had been turned dark by an outside force. Most are considered "creatures," though there are some mortal beings that fall under this category, such as blixes or witches. While as equally dangerous as their counterparts, they are considered greater threats because of their more violent natures. Caretakers aim to keep dark creatures thriving without endangering the rest of the world.
At magical preserves, dark creatures are kept in restricted areas where they are unable to quarrel with other creatures. This also ensures that human residents living there won't run across them, at least if they are being careful. For most of the year the dark beings are kept in their respective areas, but on specific nights, Festival Nights, they are able to roam free. The more hazardous beings such as demons usually hibernate.
Some dark creatures aren't granted relative freedom in preserves. Instead, they are imprisoned in places such as Fablehaven's dungeons. The worst dark creatures reside in Zzyx, the great demon prison. Some remain free but live separately from humans, such as the subjects of the Underking who reside in the Under Realm.
Dark creatures' abilities vary. They have control over curses, disease, poison, and black magic. Most are stronger during the night, as they find power in the darkness. Many dark creatures radiate irrational fear, which could paralyze nearby mortals. They also possess abilities such as flight, inhuman strength, and sharpened senses.
The world of Havengarde is the lands of many dark and dangerous things, strange creatures, magic and adventure. A small community of Lycans teeter on the edge of survival in a land that is increasingly under threat from the Morlar, a blood sucking, evil creature that thrive in the shadows. When they are attacked by the Morlar, they are forced to flee for their lives, and led by the Lycan twins, William and Xander, they begin a search for a new safe haven.
@paulgsilva According to the established lore, the deathlands are infested by ghosts, demons and Horrors (the elctroplasmic and alien established lore creatures). Demons can be almost everything as long as they are material beings, and Horrors are your alien and electroplasmic something (their description is very lucking).
@OpenAbyss is so right here! Horrors are quite underestimated, while they offer very nice and powerfully climatic options. I personally love to use them. Not quite in the Deathlands but also in the city, as in my version of the game they dwell in the deepest layers of the ghost field, where the memories of the city are most fractured and corrupted. So fragments merge, sometimes producing semi-conscious entities which are like fusions of creatures and buildings. My whisper tried to compel one of those conglomerates once, and the Spirit wardens had to seal off Charterhall district, while the whisper spent a month in a trance-like state. That was epic, even if the player had to run another character while the whisper was recovering.
Thanks @Arlevein! Since making the original post I put together a random table of ideas I found elsewhere and some of my own. I hope they can be helpful to you and others: -_1lFPJAAdWDrXX2csSXT8DvjIRrJt0VqY/edit
In my home-game the scoundrels accidently allowed a horror of shadows to swallow Six Towers in its darkness, an event which has proven troublesome to the Spirit Wardens and sparked an useful occult pact between the crew and it: they used it to manipulate the minds of their targets and builde empire without exposing themselves to the street-lights.

A Creature of the Night, also known as a Child of the Night, is a type of dark mythical creature in folklore around the world hidden in the night, related to the metaphysical, supernatural, or preternatural.
There are many definitions of what a creature of the night is. The main idea is that a creature of the night is a supernatural, mostly malevolent, creature that comes from the darkness of the moon or the world. Most are creatures born through unnatural means, some examples being cursed in the form of a monster or being turned into an undead creature. They are known as the opposites and enemies of the Fae and Angels, which also makes them the reluctant allies of the Demons. They are led by Absalom, the vampire god and arch-enemy to the high fae king Oberon.
They usually reside in the Nightland, a realm for them created by Death for those who seeks isolation from humanity either in distaste for them or in fear that they would be hunted down. However, unlike the Fae enemies, many of the Creatures of the Night refuse to go the realm and so instead stay in the Human Realm as before.
This coloring pages project is made possible with the help of Sara Rose, a phenomenal artist who was able to bring Jackie's sculptures to life, in a Disney-meets-Darkness vibe. This collection is a set of creatures in Jackie's videos but also a representation of the community that was grown from these videos. Thank you for being a part of this journey.

The scattered survivors struggle to find food and defend themselves, both from the creatures and looters. One of those survivors is River Kern (Taylor Rhoades, 10/31 Part III) his wife Emma (Danielle Rhoades) was at work when eternal night set in and never returned. That left River to fend for himself and their infant daughter, Mya (Mya Rhoades).
Currently, Creature in the Dark is looking for a distributor. Hopefully, it finds one that will promote it for what it is and let it find its audience. Because selling it as a horror film will get it a lot of unhappy viewers.
The creatures of Darkness are an overall term used for sinister creatures that appear originally as shadows prior to be confirmed as silicon-based, supernatural lifeforms with powers of invisibility. They inhabit the dark caverns called the World of Darkness, located in the centre of the Earth. There are many portals to this world, including one located within Shadow Island.
Though latest studies conducted by Alan Morton revealed their nature as silicon-based lifeforms, many aspect of the Creatures of Darkness' very beings violate several laws of science: They lacked bone, muscle, or vertebrae. Instead of DNA, their cells contain a crystalline structure which share identical functions, along with photosensitive properties. This gives an impression that Creatures of Darkness are actually minerals that imitate the "evolution" of the living beings into lifeforms they are today.
Compounds from a crystalline structure with photosynthesis properties, their central nervous system is a dark and glossy mass composed mainly of zinc and beryllium, long approximately 35 centimeters long and 15 wide, which reacts to the contracting white light as if it were a pupil.
Creatures of Darkness breed asexually like bacteria. They apparently perform this by imbuing their essence onto mineral-rich soil from which the said essence feed upon. After consuming enough minerals, the crystalline essence grows into a pod that hatched into a fully grown progeny of the creature in question. This was demonstrated through the birth of a Photosaurus encountered by the protagonists.
All types of these creatures are allergic to light (some creatures being repelled by flashlight, while light producing ammunition like "magnesium bullets" are deadly to them). Exposure to light turns some creatures into ash.
Prior to the events of the game, in January 13 of 1963, one of these beasts appeared and attacked Mrs. Morton, causing her to fall from her horse and become injured. The incident was witnessed by Sultan and Alan, whom presence prompted it to flee. Injuries she sustained rendered Mrs. Morton paraplegic and blind for the rest of her life.
Upon learning the incident, Jeremy Morton berated both Obed and Alan as he suspected that the two had unwittingly let the creature loose when they played not far from the gate near the ruins at Shadow Island. Following his passing 10 years later in June 21, Alan's father Howard forbade his son to go for the ruins and even changed the combination of the lock of the gate for the bridge which leads to the same ruins. This however, didn't deter Alan from his obsession for the Creatures of the Darkness, which further fostered his disillusionment towards his father and loss of faith on Jeremy, especially since the latter worked hard in developing weapons to combat his object of obsession and plan to have everyone evacuating the island.
In April 8, 1992, Alan has begun his research for the beasts with help of his brother and clues that left behind by Jeremy Morton where, at the same time, discovered alternate means to go for the gate after excavating galleries of underground complex that lead to sacrificial chamber. After translated few tablets from within the ruins, his obsession grew and faltered his trust on Obed, aware that his brother would marry and have a new family. His early attempts in creating hybrids of Creatures of Darkness and surface lifeforms ended in failure due to the used test subjects, presumably dogs, decomposed in an accelerated rate. He then turned on more promising guinea pigs for his insane experiments: Human beings. Since his father clearly an obstacle between him and his mad ambitions, Alan deliberately chose him as the first of many of his human victims...
