We should have a great show this friday at 2pm eastern time. I would
like to focus on conferences, including the IL conference, local TED
conference and the upcoming Corporate Learning Trends & Innovation
Conference.

What would make the show great is if YOU could come and talk about
your IL experience to the T is for Training audience.

Thanks and see you on Friday!

I won't be on the call Friday, but will be on a plane instead.  I look forward to hearing the podcast afterward.

I see that the IL presentation on the site are password protected.  I'd be interested in hearing what presenters think about this.  (24 or so are also in slideshare.)

TEDxRochester was live blogged yesterday at http://www.tedxrochester.org/TEDxRochester_Liveblog.html   And lots more info about the event at http://tedxrochester.com/  I'm wondering if a TED-like event could be integrated into a library conference?

Oh...I started a TIFT Twitter list at http://twitter.com/Jill_HW/t-is-for-training  Marianne L. also has one at http://twitter.com/MLx/theusualsuspects

Oh...and...we're thinking of using the Handheld library conference as an event for a group here (details are being worked out).  Wonder if anyone else is considering?  Or are there other online conferences that you're going to use as local training events?

It is like 95% sure that I will be there on Friday. I will be glad to
share about Rocking Battle Decks and my preso on Bing.

Princeton Public Library has just been approved as the first public
library to get a TEDx license and our first planning meeting is
tomorrow. This license actually includes all of NJ libraries and PPL
will be the host.

Also, there has been talk of MD being the site of the next Pres4Lib
and I would like to say that I think it would be great to have it
hosted there in June 2010 or later...

Make sense... am typing fast.

Janie, I watched the Battle Decks on UStream after the fact and you did a tremendous job with this.  What a load of fun!!  Congrats on the TEDx license too.

Thanks Stephanie for the feedback. We are pretty excited about
planning our TEDx event.

It looks like I will not be able to make the show tomorrow after all
as we are suddenly short staffed for desk coverage and I need to do
welcome desk duty from 2-4 pm. I will try to log on via chat and give
some comments. Darn, and I actually had stuff to say this week.
