Syracuse University is celebrating National Distance Learning Week
next week through a new web page, http://ischool.syr.edu/ilife/ndl/index.aspx
On this page will be a sampler from some of our online courses
(including one of mine, I think) and other stuff. Anyone and everyone
is welcome to view the materials on the web site. (More stuff to be
revealed next week...so it's not all live at the moment.)

On Thursday, November 12, 2009, 2 p.m. EST, (online in Adobe Connect),
there will be a real-time interactive discussion of ideas on online
learning and iSchool life away from campus. They will share tips on
online group work, time management, and balancing full-time life
responsibilities with part-time studies. All students and alumni are
invited to attend, and attendees are encouraged to participate and
contribute. This is a great opportunity for students in the online
programs to interact synchronously with the iSchool family. The event
will be using the University’s new web conferencing system Adobe
Connect. This session will be facilitated by several people including
T is for Training's Alison Miller, who is an SU Executive Doctoral
Student. While this is billed as a session for SU-related people, I
would bet that others could attend.
