Dear the Tisch Graduate Student Organization,

Congratulations!  I am delighted to inform you that the Tisch Graduate Student Organization has been selected as a recipient of a 2012 President's Service Award for its work in creating a cohesive community among the graduate students within Tisch.

The President's Service Awards recognize outstanding NYU students who have made significant contributions to the university community in the areas of learning, leadership, and quality of student life.  When students first arrive at NYU, I tell them my hope is that they, through their involvement in campus life, will make this university a better place for future generations of students.  You have answered this challenge, and your success is evident!  By giving of your time, energy and talents, you have positively impacted the culture of this institution and the members of our community.

All recipients will be honored by President Sexton and distinguished members of the NYU leadership team at a ceremony on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, in the Eisner and Lubin Auditorium on the 4th floor of the Kimmel Center for University Life.  Award recipients are asked to arrive and check in at 3:00 PM.  Immediately following the ceremony, a reception will be held in the Rosenthal Pavilion on the 10th floor of Kimmel.  To RSVP for this ceremony, please go to http://www.nyu.edu/student.affairs/psa/winner.rsvp.html and complete the web form.

Thank you for all of your terrific work to make the NYU community stronger, more compassionate, and more vibrant.  I look forward to congratulating you in person on April 24.

With all best wishes,

Marc Wais
