Hi All,

I spoke the Jodi and Michael and they strongly suggest they we don't do a birthday theme for our mixer next week, because it isn't on Mr Tisch's birthday.
They don't want it cause any confusion.

Nara, since you've made the flyer, can you please just take off any birthday references and send it to me so we can post it up?

Thanks Guys!

You're awesome!

Nolan

I don't see how the poster could be reused since that was kind of the whole point...

I wish somebody could've told me this before I wasted all that time.

Nara,

When I spoke to Jodi and Michael yesterday afternoon, I told them about the birthday idea they said they strongly advised against it.
I know this has been the plan for a few weeks and I'm sorry you've already made the poster.
We can still do it if you all want... but it might be better to just drop the birthday theme.
What do you guys want to do?

Thoughts?

I'm personally tired of feeling like Jodi and Michael are running the show, but maybe that's just me.

I also don't really see the objection since his birthday is March 5th, just three days later. I think it's relatively common knowledge that he's no longer actually living, and I deliberately designed the poster in a somewhat tongue-in-cheek way, to make sure no one takes the theme too seriously. Besides, my whole inspiration was Gallatin Student Council throwing a party for Albert Gallatin's birthday every year, and it's one of their most successful events.

Finally, if you're going to put that much weight on Michael and Jodi's opinions, I think you should have run this by them sooner, because it's not fair to the poster designer.

Nara,

Thanks for your feedback. You made some valid points and it is up to all of us if we want to go forward with the Tisch birthday theme for the mixer or not. Please let me know if anyone objects on this matter as we need to decide soon. By the way, I was planning to order cupcakes either way, because they are delicious. So were covered.

Also, rest assured that Micheal and Jodi aren't running the GSO show but know that they are our advisors. I consider their feedback important.
Nick and I have been working hard behind the scenes ensuring our upcoming events are planned and promoted. Let's be sure to discuss this matter further at the next GSO meeting.

We are all important members of this organization and all of our opinions are very important. I appreciate everyone for your time and effort.

That being said, please let me know which way you want to go with the mixer.

Thanks,
Nolan
