Oh, it's not gonna happen, Miguel, at least not until Google releases
"some of" the Android sources as Apache-licensed, and somebody other
than Google hacks things so you can do native development. That won't
happen before phones ship, and everything I'm hearing says that
there's no way that's happening before 2009.

Google's "open source" platform is simply a canard, nothing but PR
fluff. They seem to be expecting that developers are going to drop
working on GNOME in order to support Android for them when they do
release it.

I expect they're in for a surprise there.

Yeah, I agree.

That is why at this point Android is as closed as any of the other
major platforms. The only open stack right now is open moko
