I recently installed CIVIL 3D 2023. when i try to run PVX_RIBBON_FIX in order to load Plex Earth, CAD does not recognize the command, therefore i cannot run PE in CAD 2023. Both the ribbon command and PE run in CIVIL 3D 2021, so the software seems to be correct. i have uninstalled and reinstalled plex earth and no change. i have uninstalled 2023 Civil 3D and no change. Has anyone had this issue and know of a potential fix?

Our CAD Department was excited to get a Nearmap subscription for high definition aerial backgrounds for remote projects that did not have the budget to get topograpgical surveys. The process of bringing these georeferenced images into Autocad was quite invoved and included several steps. With Plex.earth 4, this is now accomplished with a few simple mouse clicks. For areas that Nearmap doesn't cover, the google earth image process is just as valuable, saving much time and generating georeferenced images that weren't available before.

V4 is very easy to navigate. I do a lot of high res mosaics...the process and downloads are very easy and fast, significantly better U/I than version 3. Definitely worth the upgrade. I find many software "updates" are painful changes from what you learned how to use. V4 here makes things much better. Well done Plex.earth team!

Thank you very much for your feedback! We would like to address some of the issues that have been pointed out in the messages so far, to provide users with a better understanding of the situation.

Regarding the use of Google Earth 7:Plex.Earth supports Google Earth Pro (all versions, including v7) and any version of the free Google Earth, prior to v7. Unfortunately in this latest release of the free application it is not possible to disable the terrain, which leads to major inaccuracies when importing images. To address this issue and expand capabilities, Plex.Earth 3 has introduced a built-in Map Explorer that can connect to Bing Maps, USGS or any other WMS and is also significantly faster, compared to Google Earth, when creating mosaics. Note that importing terrain, digitizing elements and publishing your drawing as KML/KMZ files can still be done with any version of Google Earth.Regarding the two-week free trial:We feel that this time period is sufficient for any user to explore all the functionality of our software. If, however, the trial session has expired before you had time to fully evaluate Plex.Earth, you can contact us directly at sup...@plexscape.com and we will be glad to extend it for you.Looking forward to more of your comments! The Plexscape Team

The situation: A dynamic volume under Windows 8 consisting of two physical drives in a mirror configuration has been running in degraded mode. The first plex of the mirror volume is labeled by Windows as "Failed Redundancy". The former entry for the second plex of the same volume remains and is labeled as "Missing". I suspect that the fault was interruption of power to second device (the drive cage has some chintzy power switches for each drive). Attempting to reactivate the volume yields the error message The plex is missing. This is a little surprising as the second disk is recognized by the system. It has a recognized dynamic volume, but is labeled "Foreign" and displays no detail about the volume (which is more or less consistent with the error message).

"Import Foreign Disks" did not reassociate (rebuild) the degraded volume. I believe the foreign disk was no longer marked as "Foreign", but the first plex remained as "Failed Redudancy" and the second plex "Missing".

I used to use Emby as my main server, but when skip intro on plex was released well i jumped ship. Now that Emby has skip intro i decided to come back to give it a whirl, and well wow how embarassing is the initial library scan??

By utilizing a large network of local pilots, each of whom being an owner of a specific local entity, users are able to take advantage of the knowledge of local factors. These local pilots will carry the knowledge of local weather windows, are more aware of the local laws and regulations regarding flying over specific structures in the area, and are close enough to any given location to be able to reduce both travel time and cost.
