TIQAM stopped working

Hi,
I need help, my always running TIQAM stopped working after a JAVA
update, nothing starts anymore. How can I get it back and which is the
"good" JAVA version. I run it on a 64bin WinXP computer and it run
without any problem.

Are there any plans to have a TIQAM user meeting on the ASMS???

Ooops, I nnotice that mysql has a problem, when I try to run
initialize.sql as from the TIQAM website I get mysql is not recognized
as an internal or external command, operable program or batch
file......
Has anyone seen that before???? and can this be the problem????
The computer anyhow has a problem running PEAKS software, so I suspect
something really strange on it

Dear ManRai,

It sounds like you have a system problem not TIQAM.
First, make sure your mysql is running by the following commands.
>mysql -u root -p
If mysql is not running, you should restart mysql.
If mysql prompt password, check whether you can see mrm database by typing
the following commands.
Mysql>show databases;
If the databases are empty or you can't execute any sql command.
I recommend to reinstall both mysql and TIQAM again or you can ask your IT
people to diagnosis your system.
The problem might be very unique to your system rather than TIQAM in
general.

TIQAM user meeting at national meeting is a good suggestion. I am not
attending ASMS this year but I certainly plan for next year either ASMS or
HUPO : -)

thanks for the answer, just before leaving the lab I found that MySQL has stopped working (any idea why this happens). I will try to get it back to life today.

Hi Mi-Youn,
MySQL was down (no idea why) but re-installation did not help (both MySQL and TIQAM), the databases are here (mrm and trans), MySQL runs.... I am lost. I check with IT guys here and send you the result.

Sorry,
Java was broken too, now it's back to life. It looks like I got a bad Java installation running, so I removed all Java trash I could find and start from zero, now its ok.
