Friday more detailed!

[Yeditepe Anatomi]

Hi ladies & gentlemen,

I am really excited about our Friday class. I can not wait that Friday comes!

It's gonna be an active class, 3 hours in a row!

As I was asked about this a couple of times, I will talk about Friday's class again.

09:00:09:50

We will start at 09:00 by the Neurological Examination slides, where I will be examining one of the tall ones in the class (i.e.Aral, Enver or Pırıl),going through each slide; first motor (muscles) and then sensory (skin) examination. You will also be accompanying me by examining the fellow student next to you.

Then, there will be music (see the post for the playlist). Dancing optional!

10:00 -11:00 

You will team up (a total of 9 teams with 8 members for each) according to the list @ the post: http://yeditepeanatomy1.org/2013/02/08/neurological-examinationupper-limb

Please try to wear something according to your team's colour!

1. Examining a Y.A.K. (Yeditepe Anatomi Komitesi) member as a fake patient. Your fake patient will not give you anything about his or her complaints. You will be benefiting from that class' notes and the ones of the previous one (Clinical Anatomy of the Upper Limb) and examine your patient to find the motor (muscles) and sensory (skin) deficits, and then come up with a peripheral nerve injury of the upper limb "diagnosis". You can ask about his/her history. He or she will, of course,answer your questions while examining him or her for sensory deficits.

You have time of a one full song or two.

Anatomy Duathlon

A total of 5 pts= 0.1 lab pt for each team member.

2. 5 clinical anatomy questions or cases.

3. Who is the Master of Anatomy? game. We will choose teams randomly, and the team chosen will send a contestant for the game! We are gonna play it with the Who Wants to Be a Millionarie? format. The top 1,0000,000 $ is equal to 0.2 lab pts.

11:15 Dr. Arzu Aldemir, I do work on migraine study with, will talk about entrapment neuropathies of the upper limb, particularly the most common two (median and ulnar) @ Skype. We will be connecting to Ankara.
