I noticed this the other day and didn't understand what happened, and
after sending a few tips found an odd issue with the way twitter ids
are getting mapped to tipjoy accounts.
I created an account on tipjoy, via twitter. The twitter username was
airkoi and the tipjoy username then became airkoi as well. I went
into settings and under the twitter tab, removed the twitter link to
this account.
I created another account, like above, except this time the tipjoy
username became airkoi0. I then logged into twitter with the account
"divesnob". I tipped airkoi... "p $1 @airkoi". I went back to my
tipjoy account airkoi0 that was properly linked with twitter expecting
to find $1. I found nothing. I went back through my direct messages
and logged into tipjoy with the original username airkoi and the
password that was given. There I found my $1.
Wouldn't you expect the $1 to be associated to the account that is
currently linked w/ twitter. In this case airkoi0? It seems that I'd
never be able to tip the tipjoy user airkoi0 any money.
