My Dear TIPCA Member,

How fast his year has moved along! Summer is almost over. I am sure that all of you have had superb quality time with your spouses and your children. For those of us who have been real busy, there is still time left to enjoy our beautiful fall season which is upon us. Enough of slouching by the TV. Get out into the open outdoors!! The temperature is just perfect in your backyard right now -- go have a small family-style bar-b-q and invite your near and dear friends over. Houston has the most wonderful parks. Make use of them. Your children will thank you later. We never know what the distant future holds for us, but the near future is certainly in your hands!

MASS & SOCIAL
Our monthly TIPCA Mass and Social is on September 12th (second Sunday of every month). This month's event are sponsored by Dinesh and Fenella Pradhan who will be offering a thanksgiving mass. We will also celebrate Our Lady's Nativity feast this mass. Our children will sing a special hymn for our Mother Mary and a procession with flowers to the altar for our Mother. Every family to carry one flower for this purpose. Please make it a point to attend.

In tomorrow's mass, let us also pray to Mother Mary for those in our TIPCA community who have lost their jobs, who are in pain, who are in need, that she will intercede to our Dear Lord on their behalf.

ASIAN MASS -- Sep 26th
The Annual Asian Mass is one of the most beautiful events of our Asian community. It has been conducted for the past 15 years, and many of our members eagerly look forward to the event.

Here is the program for the Mass:
Date: September 26th, 2010
Time:
2:30pm sharp. Please do not delay as there is no time to waste. Our Bishop has a very tight agenda, and it took us a lot of effort to get him to officiate.
Location:
Notre Dame Catholic Church
Address:
7720 Boone Road, Houston, TX 77072-3595
http://www.notredamechurch.org/
Tel: 281-498-4653
Nationalities participating:
Indian, Chinese, Filipino, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Korean. (By "Indian" I mean every one of our TIPCA members -- Indian, Pakistani, African, Canadian…-- and the ICH kerala Association)

Agenda: Procession, followed by Mass, followed by free Dinner.
Procession starts at 2:30pm sharp. This is going to be a grand affair in which all the commumities come into the church, one by one. All parishioners must come in their native or national dress! So, please wear something that showcases your nationality and your pride! Last year (my first time), some of the Chinese ladies dressed like royalty, with all those fancy pins in their hair. It was a sight to behold. There will be literally hundreds of cameras, so expect yourself to be photographed quite often. If you've got an native costume, now's the time to wear it!!

Mass will start as soon as the procession is complete. We are expecting about 1,200 parishioners to attend, so please come early. Notre Dame Church is a new building which can house all the parishoners, but you definitely want a good seat.

Dinner: this will be an event with just 6 dishes -- one from each nationality. Finger foods.
Please inform all your friends and relatives to attend. Let's show our solidarity to the communities!!
The entire evening should be finished by 7pm
If you want to volunteer for services, please contact Michael Lobo at Park...@aol.com , or Stella at Stell...@Fluor.com

God bless you all,
Joe+
