Dear TIPCA Members,
I hope all is going well so far with you and your families. We have entered into the Lenten season, a season of penance, reflection, alms giving and fasting that prepares us for Christ's Resurrection on Easter Sunday!
Please save the dates for the following events planned out for this quarter:
- April 4-6 Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan Pilgrim trip http://www.olsjbasilica.org/
- Sunday April 13, TIPCA Mass and Socials - Sponsored by the Naik family
- Sunday April 20: Easter Day Picnic/Easter Egg hunt activity for kids at Kitty Hollow Park from 11.00 am through 5.00pm.
As part of TIPCA’s annual faith based activity for our members this year plans are well underway to bring to you a pilgrimage trip to the Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle National Shrine at San Juan TX is approx. 5 hours drive from Houston. We have blocked off the dates April 4 and 5 for this trip. There is a hotel located on the property with reasonably priced nightly rates. THOSE INTERESTED IN THIS TRIP PLEASE RSVP by March 21, 2014 to Sharon Dacambra daca...@sbcglobal.net and Stell...@hotmail.com with name, # of adults and # of children and age. We need exact number confirmation to negotiate discounted rates, coordinate number and type of rooms, food arrangements etc.
Here is a tentative program for the following dates. More details will follow as we get closer to date.
Friday, April 4: Arrive San Juan in the evening, check into hotel room, meet and greet and rest.
Saturday, April 5: Breakfast, attend retreat with separate talks for youth, adults, break for lunch, group Stations of the Cross and end retreat with Mass. Evening 7.00 pm onwards will be dinner followed by socials with Bingo, games and music.
Sunday, April 6: we depart and head back home. Those of you who would like to stay back and take a drive to the South Padre beach etc which is approx 1 hour drive from San Juan; you are welcome to do so. You can refer to the following links for further information for things to do in San Juan:
