Iredeemed a whole bunch of working shift codes by registering on the gearboxsoftware website. I should have more than 100 golden keys by now for golden chest in the Borderlands 2. Some redemptions are shown below.
You can only redeem the codes in-game if both accounts are linked.I did find an entry on the official 2K support that explains how to link the PSN account to the SHIFT account for Tiny Tina's Wonderland and I assume that it works the same way for Borderlands 2.
In the past Borderlands 2 had issues with SHIFT codes on PS3 consoles when you linked the accounts via the website. If that still happens for you on the PS5 the solution was in the past to delete the existing link and to re-link the accounts, but this time you start the process from the PS5 and not the website.
Got the PS5 version, Trying to get golden keys via SHIFT codes, but it doesn't seem to be working. Trying to redeem codes via the code input screen in BL3, and most if not all codes say invalid. I am redeeming the keys via the shift website as well, and I don't seem to be getting them
They must have fixed the transfer issues then, because the PS5 version couldn't transfer them when the game first came out. I was also under the impression the trophy related glitches with this trophy had been fixed but obviously not .
You need the Director's Cut DLC installed, then either get lucky and earn one as a reward for levelling up a vault card and opening one of the subsequent reward chests or be even luckier and Gearbox gives one away via Facebook or Twitter. Either way it's luck you get one.
Looking for Borderlands 3 shift codes? With every instalment in the series, Shift codes are Gearbox's chosen way to dole out post-launch loot and rewards. On a pretty consistent basis, Gearbox gives away these freebies through chunky 25-digit codes redeemed at
shift.gearboxsoftware.com.
Like Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Shift codes, Borderlands 3's Shift rewards revolve around different types of key, which are used at a chest in Sanctuary to unlock shiny new guns. It's quite a bit like loot box systems from other games, except these are free. The main catch is that a good number of these Shift codes expire, and sometimes pretty quick. That's why it's handy to keep a guide like this bookmarked. We're keeping a living log of every Shift code as it comes in, as well as its reported expiration, and the occasional permanent code. There's usually at least a few codes going around that'll work.
Borderlands 3 Shift codes usually arrive nowadays in the form of multi-use codes that can be redeemed for Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Borderlands 3, and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. To find them as they appear, be sure to check Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford's Twitter account, where codes tend to show up first nowadays. If there aren't any active codes there, try the official Borderlands account. In the past, codes have dropped there first.
Prior to Borderlands 3's launch, Gearbox gave out Vault Insider Program keys that worked similarly to Shift Codes. You earned them by doing things like watching trailers or following its social media.
In-game, your golden keys should be delivered to you via Borderlands mail. But how do you use 'em? That's simple: Head to the big golden chest in Sanctuary, near the fast travel point. Here's where to find it, and what it looks like:

I don't know what a golden key is, but it sounds like it's close to impossible to collect more than 255 of it. If it was easy to achieve some other people would have reached it before and teared the devs some a new hole already.
So either you really are the first to notice this bug or the devs really don't give a shit. Because if they did this should be hotfixed within a day, considering how popular o a game it is.
Yeah it's really unfair if it's really all gone... are there lots of people that experienced the same thing? Maybe send feedback about it to Gearbox together... It's not nice to punish people that launch BL2 every time for the keys and take all the effort away, I stopped using the codes when I got too lazy to even launch the game.
Saving up 250 and more keys is not that worthy, the loot inside the trunk is good, but nothing really that justify all that stockpiling. You can just find better loot by playing normally and/or farming bosses.
pretty much another ingame currency which you need to open the "golden chest" in Sanctuary.
For opening it once, you need one golden key and it will give you one to two epic items on the level of the character opening the chest :P
You can get golden keys here and even ingame with the overlay on here.
There are also tweets and facebook posts from Gearbox that give you golden keys.
There's a crate in Sanctuary (once you get to it) that uses these "Golden Keys". You might use one on accident the first time -- it's fine, the keys are fairly plentiful. That crate has a much higher chance of much better loot. [edit reason="abaris919's ninja post has better links"] An easy [/edit] way to make sure you get more keys is following @ECHOcasts and @duvalmagic (Randy Pitchford) on Twitter. I stopped bothering to even jump in and redeem them after a while though, since I'm a hoarder and I haven't even used any of my golden keys yet.
Shift codes are how you redeem the keys (and occasionally, other items). You need to sign up for the Gearbox Shift thing to be able to do so. It's slightly complicated, but you only have to do it once.
None at all! :)
I often forget about the Orcz site since I have a feed reader that can selectively pop up matches for "shift" and Mr. Pitchford usually tweets about them all, even the Facebook ones. But yeah, the Orcz site is definitely a better source if you don't follow that closely. And I hadn't seen the Guide version yet -- nice!
The recent announcement by Gearbox about the release of Borderlands 3 has sent shivers of anticipation across the gaming world. Even though Borderlands 2 was released in 2012, it has been a ton of fun driven on Steam.
The popularity of the game is primarily driven by the idea of having shift codes that players can find and use to get an edge on the game. Using the codes, players can unlock rare weapons and different looks for the characters within the game.
There are still loads of Golden key shift codes that work, but, you can never be too sure. Most are pretty decent with bundles of up to five golden keys. With Golden keys, you have unlimited options but, here are some shift codes for keys you should definitely consider activating;
As you wait for the Borderlands 3 launch, these shift codes will keep the old but still gold Borderlands 2 game as exciting as ever with a fresh look all the time. Remember that the codes expire every one or two weeks. However, most of them are never deactivated and some of the old ones might still work. Most of the ones listed here are the new releases, they have a higher chance of working.
