Hi - did you find a solve for this issue? I am having the exact same problem. And even though I ended up choosing the other patches like sustained instead of the legato patch, the problem continued. I've got a studio company thinking I have a failing graphics card but I really think it might be the chamber strings. Any further information would be grateful.
SFA Sable EnsemblesMany of you may wonder why the need for an ensembles version of the Sable range when the Albion 2 library, whose strings focus primarily on the chamber string section, has already got an ensembles patch with various articulations that works very well indeed.
Spitfire audio UACC with Sibelius 8
Posted by Freudon33 - 30 Jun 07:40PM Hide picture Hello
I use until now the series of eastwest hollywood banks as well the Complete Composer HD with soundset project.
Everything works perfectly.
I just acquired the spitfire audio chamber strings
for detail and number of articulation.
I can use the UACC with 16 midi channel but I wish I could use almost all articulations by loading the different techniques
decorative core and legato patch
On the site of spitfire it seems possible via midi cc
I'm trying to follow spitfire's instructions
but nothing works
I am already using midday cc for the dynamic expression and vibrato but I can not achieve program chang with the midi cc32.
can you confirm if I can use more than 16 articulation by device reading or if there is another way around the problem.
I also have pro tools 12 and it works very well with the program chang but I prefer to compose with sibelius
and the score in front of me.
Hoping that my request can hold all your attention in order to find a solution
Cordially

If you wish for more than 16 sounds to be played by that device, then you must activate more instances of that player device in the right-hand column of the Playback Configuration.

Posted by Freudon33 - 01 Jul 05:12AM Hide picture Hello
yes I understand but how to load
several violins 1 because i also use
eastwest hollywood strings
the idea is to use both banks to get more detail in the sound and also as divisi
if I load 2 instances
one for hollywood strings and one for chamber strings
no problem but if I want to load a third one
for other articulation it does not work
because sibelius does not recognize them anymore
so I conclude that we can not use more
than 32 articulation by creating 2 instances
one for Violin 1 and one for Violin I
if that's it it's a shame because otherwise
all my instruments work whether it's the woodwinds
the Brass and percussions
I bought the Spitfire Audio Chamber Strings
to bring detail and I thought with midi CC
as presented on their website this should be able to run on a single track
and besides, I still can not understand
why a daw as Pro tools or Cubase
can read more than 16 midi tracks with program changes while in kontakt only one track is enabled
Excuse me for my bad english

Posted by Mike Lyons - 01 Jul 08:33AM Hide picture With the exception of Sibelius sounds, you can have as many instances of a player device active as your RAM memory can handle. Each device will hold upto 16 MIDI channels (although this description is not quite as clear cut when you are using vsti.)
You will have to set up 'preferred sounds' to play each articulation on a different device. It may also be that you might need to have each articulation on a different staff (which can be hidden from the score but still play).
Try to remember, also, that sibelius is NOT a DAW. It is a notation engraving program. If you need such detail in your music, then get live players to perform it.

Posted by Freudon33 - 01 Jul 12:28PM (edited 01 Jul 12:31PM) Hide picture thank you very much for your answers but I just found
the solution by exposing the problem backwards
since it worked under pro tools 12
so I tested all the joints of Chamber Strings in UACC
with program change
and I exported the midi file in sibelius
which allowed me to recover the good messages midi of change of banks
Then it is enough to indicate to sibelius in the dictionary the articulations with program change and there is no need for midi cc.
for now according to my first tests it works
so I can use more than 16 joints since with the Core Violins
Decorative and legato in UACC I can access more than 30 articulation

Spitfire was built on a chamber strings project. Many of our friends, including A-list composers, complained that sampled strings were unwieldy, ill-defined and too epic. That for much of their output, sensitive and achingly beautiful quiet passages and searing lyricism required less players, and attention to detail. Our first iteration of Chamber Strings was released as a private project and became hugely popular amongst our peers.

Recently, I got my hands on the Spitfire Chamber Strings Kontakt-based instrument which should be added to that list. https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=GXik4oFtHho https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/wa"The recently updated library is based on a chamber string ensemble of 16 players in a 4-3-3-3 configuration recorded at Air Studios in London. The samples sounds tight and well-defined and it is possible to achieve subtle and nuanced effects not possible with larger orchestral libraries.
