Unlike other conventional drivers, the Drive Driver only acts as a sensor, while the actual activation for the Shift Cars are performed on the Shift Brace (シフトブレス, Shifuto Buresu). This does not detract at all from Mr. Belt's role, however. He can remotely control Tridoron and the Shift Cars on his own to provide reinforcements for Shinnosuke.
In the dystopian future of year 2035, the Drive Driver has been modified and upgraded. Though the Krim Steinbelt AI in the driver is gone or nonexistent, the Drive Driver has an autonomous mode that allows the Drive Driver to fight without a host. The Krim Steinbelt AI from 2015 is restored onto the 2035 Drive Driver during Surprise Future.
My thought is office supplies. A Kamen Rider who is based around doing paperwork in an office. So the driver would be two main parts. One part that looks a bit like the stamping section of the revice driver that lights up when you "photocopy" different plastic cards meant to represent documents and forms. Literally forms. Then the other part is a springloaded stapler that you push down to make attacks or combine up to 3 documents for super attacks and finishers. Finaly you "Clock In" by putting one of the copied and staples Forms in a small center piece of the belt.
Character- Go was also a fun character. I didn't like him at first because it was too cocky, but after the introduction episode, I learned to like him. I now love the sod. He is the sad clown, someone that puts on a happy face to hide a deep sadness. His words on the type of rider he still haunts me. He sees Tomari as a hero, but himself as an executioner. His growing acceptance of Chase made his defeat over Banno worth even more.
Character- I love Chase. He's my favourite non-villain character from drive. He comes in like a grim reaper, not harming people, and only destroying rogue roidmudes. His ideals become conflicted, but with the help of Kiriko, and Heart's blessing, he became a kamen rider again. His learning to be human was sweet to watch. His broken heart moment near the end made me feel for him, but he took it as a good thing, meaning that if he can feel heartache, it means he has a heart. He was more human than the monster that killed him. I love that in his dying breath, he gave Go not just his signal bike, but his license. I'm so proud of our robotboy.
Suit- I love the Machine Chaser suit. It looks like it was put together and was just craftwork of machinery to make something that was almost a rider suit. Also, seriously, what is with this franchise and its obsession with Cobras, Bats, and Spiders? Side note, new band name. His Chaser suit when he became a Rider was okay. Not bad, but not great either. I think it was because of how minimal it looks. Maybe I was just used to Machine Chaser.
Kiriko is the standard for a rider girl. She's strong, badass, yet isn't a stick in the mud. I just wish she had more to do. She helps with investigations, and is an emotional crutch for Tomari and Go. I just wish she used those botos more and helped fight at least the jobber roidmudes.
For the first time, I actually watched a movie while watching the show. I didn't do it for the other shows I watched, so this was a first. I found it to be a good rider movie. I'd say it was the best rider film I watched that wasn't a crossover with another rider series. The action was suspenseful, the ghost cameo was cool to watch, and the fight suits were really awesome. I knew that Krim would be coming back to life again, and it was a shame how Go and Chase get shafted in the later act, but seeing Tomari do a henshin with his future son was a cool visual, and I like the story they were trying to tell with the misdirect. Although truth be told, the only time in the movie I was actually heartbroken or sad was when the drive pit was destroyed, and all of those beautiful cars were just gone.
In the photos you may notice I put small pieces of foam in between the hooks and the plaque, this prevents the hooks from sliding around when placing or removing the driver. This fix was a completely unintentional part of the design that I in no way planned for, but it kinda just worked itself out.
If you think the design is a bit basic for some of the drivers in your collection, don't worry. I plan on making several henshin-FX-centric plaque designs for every show. (The hexagon thing kinda works for Revice, so let's check that off the list.)
